Fwiw.

I spoke with a hs coach that has dealt with many of the coaches over the years recruiting his players. Two key things he said about CHaney.

1) said He was very good relationally with him
And other coaches and very well respected. I even said "he's a little goofy isn't he?" And he said not at all and that he comes across as Very very smart.

2) Kevin Steele told him that Chaney is best OC in the county. He's always 3-4 plays ahead of the defense in his thinking and is a genius.


He certainly likes him a lot

Hyams has said that a “veteran SEC defensive coordinator” has told him that Chaney is the best playcaller in the SEC. Bet he’s talking about Steele.
