Yep Kirby made his bed there and can't lose that dude as recruiter. He has landed nearly all the out of state studs. He kept him from Tx AM and Miami OC jobs. He has to make him OC or watch him walk to a rival

I spoke with a hs coach that has dealt with many of the coaches over the years recruiting his players. Two key things he said about CHaney.

1) said He was very good relationally with him
And other coaches and very well respected. I even said "he's a little goofy isn't he?" And he said not at all and that he comes across as Very very smart.

2) Kevin Steele told him that Chaney is best OC in the county. He's always 3-4 plays ahead of the defense in his thinking and is a genius.

I expect it will be a 3 year deal. I think year one will be around 1.5-1.6 million (around 600k more than Chaney made this year). I don't know if Chaney will coach QB's or TE's. Obviously Pruitt has some flexibility there. Certainly coaching qb's is the easiest transition, but I haven't been able to confirm position at this point.

I was as respectful as I could be. I think AV was very connected and I believe he still is. But here lately a lot of the info has just been plain wrong.

If you’re going to come on here and provide information, you have to accept people will discuss when it’s right or wrong. I think AV respects that.

At no point have I accused him of being a fake. But there is nothing wrong or disrespectful about discussing or questioning the accuracy of the information someone is getting.

People question and discuss media members all the time. But we can’t discuss AV’s accuracy? Why? Because he has done many great things for fellow members on this board? No one is taking that away from him, at least I’m certainly not.
