If you are hiring a HC, true, as we all know too well. But if you look at the 3 OCs that Stoops has had at UK - Gran, Neal Brown, and Shannon Dawson- all 3 had lethargic offenses there, but have wide open offenses wherever else they have been. The common denominator there is Stoops, same as Butch was the common denominator at UT.
The one comment on Shrout that sticks out came from Pruitt. He said that Shrout "anticipates throws" the best of any of them. That included JG. That included McBride. That included KC.wut?
Chaney isn't know for utilizing a mobile QB. Any improvements Hurts would make under Chaney JG would too.
Shrout probably moved up because McBridge was leaving. and moving to 3rd isn't threatening the starter. if he had moved to 2 you would have an argument.
Complementary football. We know an explosive OC is needed to compliment our dominating DC. I love what Stoops has done at UK, but he’s got to score another step up the rung or all that work at Kentucky will amount to nothing. He’s never gonna overshadow the BB team. You guys sure are in love with stats when it comes to evaluating an OC.
You loved Yurcich who was 6-6 and don't like E.G. Who won 10.
OC stats mean nothing if you can't win .
Nothing except that JG hasn't locked the position down after two different staffs have tried to work with him. I won't say that the guy can't suddenly have some epiphany and "get it". But UT can't move forward with him being late with his decisions and mediocre at best in his reads.yes, but not to 2. we saw Chryst wasn't that good, the potential wasn't enough there. no reason to think he takes JGs spot just for moving from 4 to 3.
My favorite CFB playerI know you guys hate UCF and all but this is really impressive. McKenzie milton already back lifting after that horrific injury.
McKenzie Milton Back Lifting
Agree. However, mid-major success seems much easier to come by and doesn't seem to be very indicative of success when coaching against the best of the best.If you are hiring a HC, true, as we all know too well. Christ wasn't very good, but he was far more decisive then guarantano. That's why he was able to quickly drive for two scores against Bama. Unfortunately Babel was then able to make a quick adjustment and the rally was overyes, but not to 2. we saw Chryst wasn't that good, the potential wasn't enough there. no reason to think he takes JGs spot just for moving from 4 to 3.
