Yass.
In all seriousness, I do tend to oversimplify topics like this when outside of academia. There's no need for a long version on here since it's an off-topic tangent that only a few people are interested in. If you're really interested in how race as a concept was constructed I can probably come up with a reading list for you.
It's the American way. I'm glad you're a true American.
Pretty sure I never said anything negative about hurts. I said he was a game manager who would probably want to move to rb if he wanted to go to the NFL. Thats not negative, just a pretty widely held scouting report on him. I never said he shouldn't play qb for a big time college program. You asked if I would want him on Tennessee. Just because I said no doesn't mean I think he's trash. You made that leap. I just prefer what we have for the offense I believe the coaches want to have. And as I said from the get go, I think we should see what we have system and personnel wise before we start beating the drum for another rental. You accused me before of being a fan boy for jg, which is fine, but at least I'm a fan boy of players on Tennessee and not guys who get beat out on other teams. My whole point was Tua is that good. He’s by far the best qb saban has had at bama. It’s not close. That doesn’t mean hurts is that bad it’s just he is getting beat out by an elite QBs prospect. There’s no shame in that.
Nathan peterman got beat out by Dobbs. That doesn’t mean peterman was trash.
It just baffles me that posters on here act like hurts shouldn’t even be a D1 QB lol. It’s insane.
HubbsAs we move into game week it looks like guys are zeroing in on specific. No surprises from what we’ve seen with Trey Smith and Drew Richmond at the left and right tackle spots, Jamir Johnson and Ryan Johnson at left and right guard and Brandon Kennedy seemingly entrenched at center. That’s how things have looked for the last week or so and that seems likely to be how Tennessee will open on Saturday.
Guys like Jerome Carvin, Chance Hall, K’Rojhn Calbert and Marcus Tatum continued to be repped hard so don’t be surprised to see the Vols play more than five up front as Pruitt has hinted.
One big focus for the tight ends as Saturday approaches looks to be making sure they’re physical in the run game. Lots of emphasis on that area on Tuesday afternoon as it was in the early work on Monday.
At receiver Jajuan Jennings looks like he’s finishing camp on a high note after being slowed earlier with some nicks and bruises.
Defensively, the individual work for the linebackers remained tackling which has been a heavy point of emphasis all camp. Linebacker Darrin Kirkland, Jr. continues to practice but is managed through the individual work.
Up front on the defensive line is was all about getting off blocks and pad leverage a daily staple for Tracy Rocker's group. Rocker set the tone early (like rep one), telling one of this lineman, “there you go, I see you don't want to get better today.”
In the secondary, Jeremy Pruitt had his corners in heavy ball skill work as did Charles Kelly with his safeties. Obviously, West Virginia will put the ball in the air a lot and on Monday Pruitt spoke about the need to eliminate the big plays and take the ball away defensively.
Hurts completes 33.3 percent of passes more than 20 yards down the field. (19-57)
For reference
Sam Darnold completes 37% of passes more than 20 yards downfield. (35-94).
