Best national guy in the businessLiving in Nashville, I am certain he is well aware of the talent and off season buzz across the state. Have some cousins who's kids went to one of his younger son's birthday party and when UT came up, he was apparently surprisingly well-versed with our roster and talent level. He mentioned the instant impact of Fitz and having finally a solid coaching staff from top to bottom... Now he could have been just appeasing the parents/locals, but my cousin said he seemed to be genuine.
Rivals be like "did he even camp for us tho"Man i was looking at Ramel Keytons stats in his first two games and how crazy they were with him and Bailey ballin out and noticed they lost both games and was wondering how the heck that happens with so much talent. Then I looked a little deeper into their schedule and mother of god their first 5 games are rough. If theres a tougher schedule in the nation for a high school id be surprised
Their school (Marietta) is ranked 68th in the nation and 7th in GA on Maxpreps. And they get to play:
Rome GA- 14th in the nation, #2 in GA (Lost 51-41)
Our Lady of Good Counsel (MD) - 35th in the nation, #4 in MD
Collins Hill- Trash
Grayson GA - 17th in the nation, #3 in GA
St. Johns College (MD) - 5th in the nation and #1 in MD
They also play the #119 team and 13th best in the state in game 7.
Feels like our 4 game run in the middle of the season. If Keyton keeps up those stats, against that level, hes gotta keep moving up in the rankings.
Seems weird to me that you wouldn't be happy if JG played well and won the game. I would assume any Vol fan would be happy with good qb play and an upset win over a ranked opponent and not just agnostic. Can't really think of an explanation for that other than you just don't like JG and would have a hard time rooting for him even if he's leading yer team to victory.Agnostic. Regardless if we don't have a TD by drive 3, unless we get saddled with bad field position, KC will be in for 2-3 possessions. Unless JG takes charge, we rotate QBs. Until the FL game.
Jimmy has gotten worse and worse. Hope he hangs it up soon.
He knows who his neighbors are

After knee surgery and a well-timed growth spurt, Ramsey was widely recruited, ultimately landing at Florida State. He started from day one, the first Florida State cornerback to start as a true freshman since Sanders. "I expected to, and Coach [Jeremy] Pruitt expected me to," he says of his defensive coordinator. "Nobody else did." The obvious omission is former head coach Jimbo Fisher, now at Texas A&M. In February, when an A&M assistant tweeted a graphic touting Fisher's record with defensive backs, Ramsey clapped back online: "He didn't teach me not one DB technique ..."
Ramsey describes Fisher, with uncharacteristic brevity, as "OK." I tell him I've never met the coach. "You're not missing out," he replies. During Ramsey's sophomore year, Fisher once reamed him out after he pushed a blocker into quarterback Jameis Winston, kicking him out of practice. When I bring up the incident, Ramsey starts fiddling with his phone. "Here it is -- I've got the video," he says. He also saved a screenshot of the SportsCenter news alert.
FSU's defensive coordinator that year, Charles Kelly, now works on Pruitt's staff at Tennessee, coaching special teams and safeties. He downplays Ramsey's ejection ("He was competing on a play -- he doesn't know but one speed") and says Ramsey's personality was perfect for his position. "You've got to be the most mentally tough person on the field," he says. "If you make a mistake, everybody in the stands knows it." Great cornerbacks, Kelly says, have big egos and short memories; they possess a singular ability to block out noise.
In other words: They think like Jalen Ramsey.
Apparently, he’s not a realist like Chief...No doubt he's aware of it, but he's been really critical of UT this past year. Other than the Schiano stuff, a lot of his criticism has been merited... but still, I'm surprised to see him buck the trend and turn bullish on UT. He actually does his homework and is one of the more credible analysts, so his opinion carries more weight than others.
Disrespect for UT is at an all-time high. UF and UT are in almost exactly the same situation with comparable talent levels and the difference in perception is night and day.
We need this win.
