Honestly, after looking up his record at MS, I was a little surprised that he only had 1 winning season in conference.
I truly get that it's Mississippi State but his 1 superb season was somewhat of an outlier for SEC play.
Better than what we had most of the time but still surprised me.

Yeah, that has truly been murderer's row the past decade. Clemson's closest game last year was to mid-division A&M ffs

Scott is at TEs. Don't think his position coaching was ever a question.

Biggest question is if we can develop at Mullen's level. That is one thing he really excelled at at MSU. Time will tell.

Mullen has natties to show for his playcalling, I think he is clearly above Chaney imo. Chaney is good, but certainly not elite. But I like Pruitt's defense over Grantham. Pruitt is top notch at what he does and I think Ansley will just be mimicking Pruitt. Like you said, maybe a wash overall.

But I think Mullen topped out in recruiting, while Pru+Tee+Nieds+Ansley can take us to an unforeseen level.
And Pruitt has Natties for HIS playcalling. And our coaches are notably better recruiters...which matters more in the SEC.

You definitely have some people and companies that are pushing an agenda right now. I mean if you can grow your own medicine who is gonna suffer. I had to quit watching ABC good morning America for that. They only put ridiculous claims on their runner. Definitely agenda driven. Over 60% want recreational legal and 94% want medical legal of the population. Cats out the bag so to speak. Next trillion dollar industry including industrial hemp. Over 50,000 know uses. Just a matter of time now. Fun fact Henry Ford built his first car with hemp plastics and it ran on hemp fuel. Wonder what industries went and lobbied against it.🤔
It’s real man. I diagnose 3-4 people a week with cannibinoid hyperemesis syndrome. It’s not new either. Every one of them say the same thing too. “I have to take long hot showers”. Most of them smoke heavy each day.

All our ILBs are awful at coverage. We were constantly picked on there especially against Missouri and candy.
Basically every unit on our team was exposed in those games. The LBs played solid ball in spurts (like the DL did). They were exposed in games we played against good Sr QBs and Tua. They held up pretty good against the run in some other games. Our ILBs had some bad games, but other units on our team had bad games every game. It's not like the DL returns anybody who played well in those games.

At least the ILBs have a year game of experience each. If Bituli and Ignont take modest steps forward and we can find decent rotational play from 1-2 of To'oto'o, Crouch, Reid, or JJP, then we could see solid enough play from them. However, DL is only returning 1 known quantity in Taylor and they need to scrounge together 6-8 guys who can give us SEC level DL play. I'll feel better about the DL if or when Solomon declared eligible and Savion Williams starts turning heads in fall camp. Until then, there's no reason to expect our DL to give us more than the ILBs will.

Yeah and he had, it was weird though. He's not listed on the staff during Pat's last season, nor was he listed in her coaching tree on the wikipedia page for her...but then I did more digging and he's been there since 2004.

But Pat's last season to Holly's first season was a big overhaul. Dean and Elzy were the only two staff to carry over and then after Pat passed Elzy was gone too. Leaving only Dean from Pat's staff.
MoCo, that just about takes care of my loyalty argument. Thanks for the info.

I think the two of you are agreeing with one another in an argumentative sort of way.
You both must be of Scots-Irish extraction. The blood is strong.

Also we are PWOU now. With the influx of talent on the scout teams it got to push everyone else to get better. I like this new strategy and bet it pays dividends.

The hardcore wbb fans don't seem to think much of Walz's tactics. Many saying he is shady. Is this like hiring Cal or Will Wade?

What other drugs do they do and what prescriptions are they on? Do you live on a state where it is legal so they can regulate it and test for toxins(pesticides and mold)?

Don’t know about recruiting, but he’s intense. Got suspended for their first tournament game this year because he used some poor words and language to some NCAA personnel and officials during last year’s Final Four.

Thursday night was the absolute worst idea ever. I'd love to see how bad the numbers are for attendance/viewership, I used to wake up just for the pre-draft coverage on Saturday. Would basically watch it all day and then check out on Sunday.

Once you realize every other guy is basically going to be a bust, it takes a lot of out of it. Sort of like recruiting. I'll wait and see who actually pans out before going nuts.

I would hope we would pony up for this cat. How would it look if Phil is throwing around 1.2m for a 1st time OC, but not the same range for the head coach of our most storied program?

The offense would’ve been better because Helton was terrible. But what game would we have won with a slightly improved offense? Every game we lost was a slaughter except SC. Grantham isn’t a better DC than Pruitt so the defense would’ve been worse, not better.
It feels meaningless to view it like that though. The games would have been different from the outset, thus leading to different schemes and plays from there on out. Impossible to say really.

I just know we would have been better without the run-run-please bail us out jg & callaway offense.

No doubt about that. But as you said above, doesn’t mean that Mullen will be the better coach in the long run. Helton was terrible and that hindered us so Mullen would’ve been better now. But at this point, and I say this because I expect big things from Pruitt, I wouldn’t trade for Mullen. Not a chance

13 title appearances. 8 titles. Countless F4s. Yeah I would agree with the statement

Success does not necessarily equate with being storied. UT WBB is one of the most successful programs of all time in its sport yet is largely an afterthought even among UT fans.

How often do people speak about Candace Parker compared to Peyton Manning or Al Wilson? I would wager that few UT fans could recall the last time WBB won a NC but most could tell you the last time we won a NC in football.
