I was only looking at after he caught the ball. Didn't see if he went out of bounds before the pass.

It is amazing when you watch the replay, how fast it all happened. It is amazing that we were even able to get a hand in his face. There was no time to think about it, only time to react.

Between the bs 3pt foul and the whole “I didnt acknowledge” the time out nonsense, this was a really gut wrenching end to a great season that should have went on!!

Not even mentioned much is the horn sounding before the ball even touched anyone. How could a player concentrate on what he was doing, with the horn already sounded?

We are very lucky to have Rick Barnes.

Yes we are...I was ambivalent when he was hired, but I didn't know anything about him really other than Texas didn't want him anymore..which I thought was weird. It's hard to get excited about landing a fired coach, but I did think he would at least stabilize the program..

Welp..he has done way more than that. I hope he is able to finish his career here on his terms.

Love Lamonte and his gritty style of play but he has to play smarter.

Think it was a 50/50 call but you DO NOT call that foul at the end of game.

Turner should have known better to not put himself in that position for any contact for the ref to be able to call that.

He said so himself that that he told the refs about the leg kick out all game as well as the phantom block foul in the Iowa game.

It was a great team to watch this year. Will be a wonderful learning experience for next year.

I think everyone will be back minus the seniors and a transfer. We gonna have to play more small ball though with James coming in.

Not sure what else he could have done. Edwards pushed off, and your natural reaction is to contest the shot. If he doesn’t contest and Edwards hits it, there wouldn’t be happy people on here as well.

I understand the reaction. He was coming from the side in which the angle was awkward and not the best one to take to contest the shot but the push off may have caused that. I think even without the leg kick out, there would still be contact at the hip.

If he makes the tough shot with no foul, I would accept the loss a lot better than what happened.

March Madness is tough. I was surprised to read Duke has only been to 2 final fours in the last 14 years. That despite usually having a significant talent advantage and the best coach in the history of the game.

Getting to the sweet 16 out of a field of 300+ teams is a monumental achievement.

Getting past it frankly takes some luck, in addition to talent and coaching.

I’m proud of our team. I was completely entertained by them and they played hard for four or so solid months. That’s all I can ask for as a sports fan.

Agree I’ll never complain about a sweet 16 finish. We took winning in multiple sports for granted here for far too long.

Truth.
Also why I'm not a fan of people slamming Barnes or the team. A group of mediocre ranked players that were developed extremely well and overachieved.

Having a S-16 appearance and being 1 game short of a conference title isn't a failure just because they shocked everyone last year.
It just means they played above their rankings for 2 straight years. That's the exact kind of problem I would like to have in every sport.
