He's been on campus 6 months. I say we give him a least 3 more months before we write him off.
Obvious lack of effort and softness being repeatedly reported will deservedly get you killed on VN..we have seen enough of that BS in the last decade to last a lifetime...

I am sick of it...Any dude with that attitude just needs to get in, or get the hell out..

Apparently being a redshirt freshman doesn’t matter anymore.... I remember when it was almost unheard of to play a freshman and now everyone is POd because JJP isn’t completely developed yet as a redshirt freshman who came in to the program late and had to work on pretty much every aspect of his life and career and improve in both areas.... let the kid get his feet under him before you consider him a bust guys....
Bull..people are worried because we keep getting subtle reports that his effort and desire are not up to par..

Slightly more optimistic on OL after spring practices but part of me wonders if the OL looks good because the DL is struggling

Youre on the right path. Not that the dl is necessarily struggling, but its so hard to take anything from us v us. Its always happy but sad

Anyone else notice how much Texas Tech's style of play resembles ours?

i thought their offense was much worse (discombobulated) and defense much better. They are like our KenPom corrollary.

somehow we were the same ranking last year, but their defense continued to improve and we fell off. meanwhile our offense took a big step forward and they were stagnant. Ill never get what happened to our defense this year. Elite D plus our O and we could have been the best.

He is out there practicing banged up. Not on the sidelines with Fitz. Your right its showing something, looks a lil like Grit to me. JMO.

Who really knows? Many guys cover up knicks, cuts, bruises and dont say a word. every player in fact. The question is if jjp has typical bangups or more serious injuries. The fact that a coach called him out on it once already and hes merely going through spring practice without playing full time in a year and a half and is piling things up does have to concern one.

Being injury prone is not the same as being soft.

Just going with the subtle hints that we've been hearing over and over. If he's not lazy or soft, that is great for all of us.

I for one did not expect an all-sec performance yet, the dude is a redshirt freshman, but I did expect him to be trending toward being a solid contributor..

I cant watch this BBall game. I will break something. Watching Free Solo. Insane and great movie/documentary. Climbing Yosemites El Capitan 3,000 ft with no rope. Unreal.

I am working on the next one - The Dawn Wall on netflix. Someone mentioned 2 other great climbing docs, not sure what the other was. I havent climbed in 20 years but find these people absolutely fascinating.
