OL is hard to 'fix' in one year, and DL loses basically all major contributors. Trenches will definitely remain our weak spots this year, but I still think the OL will improve at least marginally.

We still have Darnell, McBride, and Lampley coming in over the summer. The latter two won't start or play much barring severe horrific injury luck, but the more competition, the better.

I also have more confidence in Chaney figuring out how to scheme with a weaker OL than Helton. Sure, he might be limited some, but good coaches figure it out.
 
UT hasn't contacted UL about Walz.

Expecting both Morris and Wright to be difference makers as true FR is a tall order

It is, but they don’t have to be spectacular. Just be solid. Alabama finds ways to play true freshmen OL. It does help when the rest of the line is good too.

If we are just above average at OL, we can probably win 6-7 games.
