As for Helton, I think he takes all the blame when it should be shared. It wasn't a great fit, for numerous reasons, and both Pruitt and Helton contributed to that... and both sides benefited from the parting of ways.

Yet to be seen....Helton is a HC, but he also took a $405k a year pay cut to do so.

Which he was very glad to do. And which he can make up in time... and possibly has already compensated for in quality of life. Being your own boss with the freedom to run your own show is worth a lot. And not working for someone with whom you don't click is worth even more.

HC is more stressful than OC, but as I said yet to be seen if both sides benefit from the parting of ways. At this point I think Pruitt appears to have benefited more, since he now has a far superior staff around him which should aid him in producing better results.

Helton gets his shot to be a HC finally, and it's at a school with a bit less pressure than he probably felt here or even at USC. There will still be pressure though, Sanford only got 2 years before being fired. Obviously a good spot to HC though as good results yield better opportunities as it did for Taggart & Brohm.

Could be. Like I said, just my opinion but I think Helton's "desire to please" exaggerated things. Of course Pruitt made some mistakes, everyone does. But I think Helton's "quirk" made Pruitt's management look worse than it actually was.

They were friends and familiar with one another but working together is entirely different. Can't be certain until you're "in the trenches" together.

Some guys are probably more prone to ego than a guy like Chaney. He knows who he is and what he's done, and he ain't worried about what you think. Same with DeBord. Saban would chew on Pruitt or Kiffin at times and the look on their faces said "ask me how many <beeps> I give". Their confidence and accomplishments supported being able to do that. Don't really know about Helton, but he may not have been cut from that cloth, and he certainly didn't have the record of accomplishment that would allow him to blow off the head coach's comments.

Butchna was in diapers the last time we won in the swamp

At the rate we've been going, we all may be in diapers before we win in the swamp again :cool:. On the other hand, they really do have some nice diapers on the market today. Depends is doing wonders for old folks :cool::cool:

We must keep passing on the story so the next generation knows.

And it wasn’t just Helton. Pruitt was tight-assed with most of the staff. He’s definitely settled down a lot. Rocker even said it publicly.

Mom can't remember she ate immediately after we've eaten. She can't remember anything 2 minutes removed from it. Her short term is completely gone. She can't sit still. If she's out she wants to go home. The minute she walks in the door of her house, she wants to know where they're going. She absolutely wears my dad out. My dad gets relief by taking her to daycare three days a week.

She's starting to forget the people close to her. I have to remind her that I'm her son. Sometimes she thinks I'm her husband. It's a sad deal.
My mother is similar. But she lives in a memory care facility. Yours sounds like she is in the final stage. It’s all defined at alz.org if you’ve never read their web site it is helpful.

Who saw the tony mandarich and steroid story they had while he was at Michigan State? Said was doing it big time and implied he even injected people and wouldn’t answer if coaches knew. Coach was Satan and he was lying thru his teeth. All those guys were blowing up and he was acting all innocent. What a liar. Funny to watch him full of it and BS ing it.

Speaking of the Alzheimer’s discussion - have you guys read about the recent breakthrough scientists have had where they believe the same bacteria that causes gum disease also causes Alzheimer’s? Pretty wild stuff.

Can someone truly answer why we are offering all these very low rated players? I'm not very confident in our recruiting right now. Nearly all the highly rated players we were "in a good spot" for we have lost some traction with. Not saying the class will be bad. Just doesn't seem like it's going to be all that good at the moment.
It is still just May.

I picked them at random as my favorite EPL team last year because that's where the Beatles are from. I don't follow them religiously, but I do follow to some degree. When I got in my car after work yesterday, I whooped when I got the notification from ESPN. I had to run back in to get WIFI to see if I could find the highlights. It would have been fun to be in a Liverpool pub last night.

Is that for real? W-o-w. Just shows how much shiz luck weve had vs them. 2017, 2015 should have been in the bag if not for absolute garbage in-game coaching. Goodness...
We did not play them every year until the mid to late 80's but still, that is wow-worthy.
