Being trapped in a 2-10 ceiling and 0-12 floor scenario for a while is 100% a possibility. If we get to the point of recruiting falling apart, mass transfers, and a complete "give up" attitude spreading throughout the program, that's where we'll be. Look at Kansas. Obviously we're a significantly better program, but circumstances can certainly lead a program down that path.

I think I remember Atlantavol posting something along the line of it would be a huge disappointment if we lost a couple of games this year & things would happen.

Anything less than 8 wins this year will be a major disappointment IMO. I do believe 7 or 8 wins is totally realistic. Will be trouble internally if this goal isn’t reached that I can assure you.

I wouldn't do that. Here's where I'm at, if we have to fire Pruitt, and I hope we don't. I hope that he fixes this culture and goes with youth. But if he doesn't and we go 2-10 or something crazy and he's fired, I'd pay Mark Richt whatever it takes to get him out of retirement. I don't care what his ceiling is. I don't care. I just want to be respectable. Then we can talk about moving up. We are at the bottom of the SEC. I just want to be average right now. Put us in tier 2 for now. I'd offer Richt whatever it takes if he'd come if the worst case happens.

I would definitely take a few 9-3 seasons

Barnes isn’t a second year head coach..

Vol basketball was no good Y2 and missed the tournament...with a veteran coach. And in a sport that just takes a couple "hits" in recruiting/development to work, not 20+. But shhhh don't talk truth. Hurts the narrative.
