If we score 34 in regulation that’s likely a 2 touchdown win.
It's almost hurtful that butchna has me on ignore, but not Jack Burton....I didn’t know that value the first few years I spent on VN. Now it’s not an exact science. I have a few posters on ignore who are decent to good…not even negavols. There was just nothing there. Not sure why I haven’t included Jack. Mebbe it’s because he goes into his morose hole for long stretches when things are promising. If we were to lose Saturday, he’d be back in force stressing the need to hire a “proven coach” after firing Heupel next season.
We don't have to have the same production from that person. That’s exactly what I’m saying. If we play like we should it won’t be close. But now someone else has to fill Tillman’s role and it won’t be easy.
I have only 3 people on my ignore list only because it was way too much negativity for me..especially when there is a ton of stuff to be happy about. and one of them is Jack..I just can’t..I didn’t know that value the first few years I spent on VN. Death nail. Another vnism. I like it.We don't have to have the same production from that person.
We just have to get production. And it will just be more spread out vs 18 targets to one guy.
It's a big loss at a terrible time. But one wr really shouldn't be the death nail for this team given how the offense works.
Agreed. He will run it more in SEC. Just an extra weapon in the arsenalOne thing I'll point out, we've been very cautious about using Hooker this year in the running game so far.
3 games and he has 3 attempts for 22 yards (2 TDs though). Last year he finished with 166 attempts for 616 rushing yards (which was 1st on the team in attempts). He also ran for 9 attempts against Pitt in his first real action, then followed that up with another 9 carries against TTU.
We'll see more of his legs now that we're into the SEC schedule. Teams haven't been able to get pressure or cover receivers well enough to force him to use his legs. Wouldn't surprise me if he has a big game running against Florida if they try to get cute with their pass coverage.
Fair enough on your first declaration. Your history as a Basillio Cult apologist/acolyte/agent provocateur made me assume otherwise. Now let’s review your other fine work before and after the hire:

Pitts D is good. But Pitts D isn’t why Hooker has had first quarter struggles this year. And further, WV ran the ball on Pitt the weak before, we didn’t run it at all against them and really didn’t even try. I think that probably says a lot about where our coaches feel the run game is currently.
I know Heupel acknowledged he learned the importance of this rivalry 30 seconds on campus. I really hope he realizes that to the average Tennessee fan, this is not a gentlemen's war. After all of the years of Gator losses, there literally should be zero brakes. There is not a point amount scored that I would feel an ounce of pity for the Gators. I don't care if Tennessee is up 56-0, I want Milton in there throwing bombs for touchdowns. All gas, no brakes. No mercy. We can't get 16 years of revenge in one year, but by God we should try.
