I think our D-line has played well, and our LBs have been fine. It's the secondary that's dragging down our defense.

I think a lot of that was the soft zone we were in. I think we were prioritizing stopping the run. Didnt think AR could execute. But even still they missed more tackles than we've seen most of the year. I thought our coverage looked a lot better in the Pitt game, even tho Slovis put a bunch of passes right on the money while getting pummeled in the first half. Those were tight windows. This game the windows were wide the hell open. Makes me wonder if thats more about the gameplan but i dont know. We bent bent bent and almost broke. But we didnt. On to the next one. Hopefully we look better against LSU.

Help is certainly on the way in this 23 class

This is worth the read and hell of a win boys sorry ain't been around yet.Sucks a family member who's been sick with cancer and other health concerns passed away yesterday afternoon. He absoutely loved UT football and has had season tickets for eons.

Well since he's been sick he hasn't been able to go.So yesterday morning asks grand daughter if she wanted to go take her 2 brothers. Why ocourse they do and they freaking had a blast. They grabbed a few souvenirs for papa n pictures qnd headed home.Called n called n no answer finally get home and go inside.Hes layed in his bed with the game on TV and no pulse.
Lord knows them kids need all the prayers they can get and football is the most unimportant thing right now.

Heres the part makes u glad to be a Vol in a gloomy unimportant moment.Man there zo lucky they had cameras n the room just to observe him. That man passed away exactly 7 minutes and 22 seconds after the final whistle. He never moved the whole game. With that final whistle blow he raised his arm maybe 30°.Hey I'm a tuff dude n I cried watching it with them. Its been very tuff but I really really don't think people understand just how big sports impact people's lifes.I know i personally have leaned on ppl here n a dark spot in my life.

I'm so sorry for your family and will keep you in my prayers!

Your post made me sad and happy at the same time.

Sounds like this man was a dedicated Vol and I KNOW that he enjoyed that game as much as the rest of us.

Please don't feel guilty! I'm as certain as I've ever been that he is sooooo glad that you all got to be there to experience that!

🙏

The thing that I keep thinking about is Keyton's catch. It's been a lot of years of watching football where I've seen receivers make catches like that and thought to myself, "Just once, I'd like to see a Tennessee receiver make a catch like that." Well, now I have. Hang it in the Louvre!

I agree--- I will say that Callaway made a few crazy catches with DB's mugging him, but this catch was definitely AWESOME!

Don't know if it's been mentioned but on the 4th down try at the end of the game when Fant was dropped short, Bru was running wide open 10 yards behind him. Would have been an easy score.
I need to go back and rewatch the replay, but it also appeared that Hyatt had some room to roam if they would have handed it to him instead of faking it.

and yet wont get a single Heistman vote because, its political and not about actual stats or leadership capabilities.
If he keeps playing like this, he will get votes. Very seriously doubt he wins as I think we would have to get to 10 or 11 wins for him to have a real shot. Doable, but considering our Heisman history, unlikely.

Guy went into THE SWAMP TWICE and won. I never didn’t appreciate him. His arm never fully recovered from the injury in fall camp preceding his true freshman season. He used everything else to win for us afterwards. Converting 4th and 19 against Bama demands revisionist silence.
Of all the plays that he made, that is my very favorite. You can hear the energy drain from the crowd and they knew they would leave Bryant-Denny soulless and sad after that play.

This is so good. When I saw it live, I thought that there was no way he brought that in without it hitting the ground. No way. Just incredible.
