I am sort of stealing this from the VQ rewind, but Joshua Josephs has to play more. He is the fastest edge guy we have by far. He was sooooo close to getting a sack in the endzone the other day.

I would guess they are going to use the bye week to continue to develop some of these freshmen who are flashing big time when they play. I’m sure we will see them more frequently.

Pretty sure the first time we did it was 2015 when they come to our house. They striped their stadium. Ours is setup for the checkerboard pattern so it just made sense.

Edit: dang how’d I forget the TBA checkering? I was at that game as a student.

I can't watch that clip. That game was when I was in grad school. I left my apartment with a couple minutes left to head over to Folsom Field for the Colorado vs. Georgia game. I got into the stadium and spotted a guy in a Tennessee beanie (we're everywhere) celebrating. I ran up, he told me we'd won, and I ran out of the stadium as my brother called me to celebrate. I ran past a couple of professors of mine yelling "WE BEAT LSU!" while on the phone, and I'll never forget my brother saying "Wait..." and my heart dropping. One more play. I lost the signal, but he called me back to say "We lost."

I was devastated. Absolutely gutted. Colorado beat Georgia that night, but I barely cared. My professors made fun of me on Monday. "Math is hard," one of them said.

I mustered up the fortitude to watch the end one time and my heart broke all over again. I want this one pretty bad. Not as bad as Florida, but pretty bad.

Night games @ Death Valley are notoriously hard. . .
UT early games are notoriously good. . . well, maybe not notorious. . . but we've been known to have really good 1st quarters in early games. . .

If this gets us out of our Q1 funk paired with our 2022 straight up murder 2nd quarters.. watch out!!!

This is worth the read and hell of a win boys sorry ain't been around yet.Sucks a family member who's been sick with cancer and other health concerns passed away yesterday afternoon.He absoutely loved UT football and has had season tickets for eons.

Well since he's been sick he hasn't been able to go.So yesterday morning asks grand daughter if she wanted to go take her 2 brothers.Why ocourse they do and they freaking had a blast.They grabbed a few souvenirs for papa n pictures qnd headed home.Called n called n no answer finally get home and go inside.Hes layed in his bed with the game on TV and no pulse.
Lord knows them kids need all the prayers they can get and football is the most unimportant thing right now.

Heres the part makes u glad to be a Vol in a gloomy unimportant moment.Man there zo lucky they had cameras n the room just to observe him.That man passed away exactly 7 minutes and 22 seconds after the final whistle.He never moved the whole game.With that final whistle blow he raised his arm maybe 30°.Hey I'm a tuff dude n I cried watching it with them.Its been very tuff but I really really don't think people understand just how big sports impact people's lifes.I know i personally have leaned on ppl here n a dark spot in my life.

Gotta believe he went out happy that his seats were full of family VOLS during a memorable game rather than sitting unused in a drawer. Hope the kids know they did exactly what they needed to do as well. May have been some divine guidance involved here. Don't know his age, but bet he was part of or greatly influenced by a generation where "waste not, want not" was a real watchword that was not limited to just food. Glad he got to go out with a big win. Bet he was smiling on the inside as he raised his arm in victory that last time on this earth. I know the corners of my mouth are always up when my arms go up like that. Praying for all of you, been there.

Since the game ended, my house has been hit by lighting, cause our inground sprinkler system to blow up, and I’ve been rear-ended, probably totaling my car.
