The Hawkeyes used to be worked on right in front of my shop in the hanger bay when I was on the USS Ronald Reagan. Those are some cool ass planes. Handle all of the weather for flight ops pathway, battle command center, and early warning of airborne aircraft’s. The crew was 4 or 5 people I think but I became friends with some of the mechanics since they were always in front of my shop. There were only 2 Hawkeyes on the ship and they rotated them out and did maintenance as needed as only one Hawkeye was used at a time for flight ops. Got to go inside it a few times to look around, pretty cool.

That has to be the biggest sigh of relief ever.
@Glitch

I’ve never flown a plane onto an aircraft carrier, or at all, but I have been on a plane that caught the wire and it was such a rush.. a terrifying rush 😂

I hadn’t ever been on a carrier at that point and my ship was deployed when I got assigned to it so I flew from Bahrain onto the ship. I remember they opened the doors and all I saw was a hectic flight deck and miles of ocean. They ushered us off the flight deck where my future Chief was waiting for me and I must have had a “wtf” look on my face because he immediately laughed and said, “Welcome to the fleet son”.

Awful. Funds that should have been used to help underprivileged kids and cancer patients instead went to build a volleyball arena. Unfortunately, based on the emails between him, the school and a senator I think it was, this feels like this type of situation happens way too often behind the scenes without the public finding out.
Yeah he's a real POS. I bet some will still try to defend him

Not just 1, but two volleyball arenas. And he didn't pay what he promised his word and handshake he'd pay. He pocketed at least 92% of what he was illegally paid in the fraud scheme that has put 2-3 people in jail and that he was supposed to turn around and give to Southern Miss...

And it wasn't a senator... it was the former governor of Mississippi AND the president of Southern Miss University. Luckily for them they clearly weren't involved in the fraud scheme and discussed in phone records that they weren't happy with what Brett was doing and advised him to stop being sleazy.

Ooof. Even worse. I can’t read the article you posted because I don’t have a sub, but I’m going off tweets I saw about the situation and other articles. The context I was referring to with the emails, and maybe what you’re talking about are later discussions after this one, but the president and governor basically told him what was going to happen to get the charity funds to the school and Favre essentially asking if the funds could be traced or something to that effect, and they said it wasn’t public knowledge that could be obtained or something along these lines. So in that exchange I took it as they are all sleazy AF and if what you’re saying about him pocketing some is true then he is the sleaziest of the 3. Awful **** all around though.

Edit: can’t find the exchange I read about on Twitter, but saw some more about him even wanting to take welfare money to fund more projects for his daughters school. ****ing scum man.

Choose your hypothetical:

1. Beat UGA but lose to Bama in the regular season and SEC championship game.
2. Beat Bama, lose to UGA and no SEC East title

1, all day. Beating the reigning Champs and winning the East would validate the progress and give us a major boost towards the next level. IMO.

It’s just hard to gauge this team. We seem like we are always 1 or 2 better decisions away from blowing anyone out.

BVS sees that as a sign of why we will fail later, but all reason says this is really fun for year 2 and we have a lot to look forward to.
Yes, but did years we’ve been 1-2 better decisions from not losing the game.

Let’s celebrate being in this side of that equation & continue to grow
