You are able to tee off on him as soon as he becomes an offensive player…. The reason you can’t hit him while holding for fgs is for player safety. I like the rule but can understand why some don’t.I understand the rule, but if they are going to allow the holder to take off running at any second then the defense should be able to tee off on the fool on every kick...the kicking team shouldn't get to have it both ways. The holder should not be allowed to run or pass if he catches the ball with his knee down on the ground.
