The sec would prefer Tennessee to win. Having us in the top ten is good for the league, if we lose there will be one less sec team at the top.

I can't help but remember the 2013 Vandy game. Extremely subjective game-deciding call went against us to keep us out of a bowl game. Thought for sure we'd get it just for the SEC to have another bowl eligible team, but nope.

I know it's far different stakes here--top 10 vs 6-6--but money was on the line and the refs ruled against us.

Ardbeg is awesome. I even like the Wee Beastie. It’s like getting smacked in the mouth with a campfire log, but I like it. Then again…I’m weird.

My wife can't stand the smell. She took a sip once...once...and said it smelled like gasoline and tasted like iodine. I asked her why she sniffed gas and put iodine in her mouth and she simply glared at me and asked why I paid so much for something so awful. So it is, I suppose, an acquired taste. It's a helluva journey tho. So many different labels and such a variety of whiskeys and so little time.

Does anyone have a good sports bar to watch Tennessee games at in Gatlinburg? I have a friend that gets married there, the Friday before the UT-Alabama game.

Was just in Pigeon Forge this past weekend. Margaritaville was a solid restaurant/bar, they had games playing just no audio. Food was surprisingly good and the drink prices not too crazy.

There's also Puckers Sports Grill, haven't been there but have heard it's solid.

I had a heated drunken argument with a guy at a house party in summer 2006 over Vols vs Gators.

Even at that point in the rivalry, he was incredibly arrogant about UF's domination over UT, even though we had the edge since 2001. They hadn't even won a championship under Meyer and Tebow was unknown to the CFB world.

It's absolutely wild how the next 16 years would play out. Even in his arrogance, I doubt he would have ever thought they would win as many as they did.

Calhouns bar area has TVs, and I think their food is about as good as you can get in Gatlinburg.

FD has the spread down to 2.5....... I think this game is going to be tougher than we want to believe it is, but at the same time I think that is way low. Imo it should be -6.5

If our defense plays like it did post 1st quarter vs Pitt, I could see us winning in the ball park of a 30-20 type game.

I think Pitt losing to GT effected people's gambling models for this game more than LSU beating Auburn. I'm disappointed in Pitt but Tennessee vs Pitt would be a lot different game in week 6 than it was week 2.
