When I was a kid, my papaw loved Pepsi over Mayfield icemilk but he still called it a Coke float.
I don't remember anyone on my mom or dad's side that called a soft drink anything other than coke. It wasn't to be disrespectful to Pepsi or RC, it's just what everyone around me said.
I went to Michigan as a kid to see family and let me say that was the most boring trip ever. Everything was coke in my family. I was thirsting to death and they asked me if I wanted a pop. I thought they were talking about a lollipop. LOL. Of course I said no I’m thirsty though.![]()
I don’t post much about it, but my wife could use every single prayer available right now. Probably not happening today even though she’s in a lot of distress. Doing everything we can to try and give her comfort.

We went on a cruise out of Galveston, mostly Louisiana people, and they (Carnival.. I know, I know, slumming it) ran out of booze and had to reload at portIn defense of LSU fans….they (and Wisconsin fans) are the only fan base I’ve known of to drink stadiums and bar districts “out of booze”. They aren’t the only alcoholic fan base in the group, but they probably started the group.
I agreeNo disrespect to your papaw, but Pepsi is an awful beverage and should be stricken from the record.
It’s a moral/character thing. I think that ball is more the property of the guy who hit it out, or even the organization, than it is the fan who just so happened to have the right seat. Fans have to throw back the football after they catch a field goal. I don’t understand why a significant baseball should be any different
