When I was a kid, my papaw loved Pepsi over Mayfield icemilk but he still called it a Coke float.

I don't remember anyone on my mom or dad's side that called a soft drink anything other than coke. It wasn't to be disrespectful to Pepsi or RC, it's just what everyone around me said.

No disrespect to your papaw, but Pepsi is an awful beverage and should be stricken from the record.

I went to Baton Rouge for a night game between LSU with Joe Burrow (yr 1) and ranked Mississippi State (Nick Fitzgerald sr yr) and I was very disappointed. LSU won, wasn't a sellout. Didn't get insanely loud. Wasn't particularly hostile. I can't imagine Tiger Stadium being any worse than that with an average team for an 11am kickoff.

I went to Michigan as a kid to see family and let me say that was the most boring trip ever. Everything was coke in my family. I was thirsting to death and they asked me if I wanted a pop. I thought they were talking about a lollipop. LOL. Of course I said no I’m thirsty though. 🤣

Those silly yankees can't do anything right.

In defense of LSU fans….they (and Wisconsin fans) are the only fan base I’ve known of to drink stadiums and bar districts “out of booze”. They aren’t the only alcoholic fan base in the group, but they probably started the group.
We went on a cruise out of Galveston, mostly Louisiana people, and they (Carnival.. I know, I know, slumming it) ran out of booze and had to reload at port

I agree

He always said it "fizzed more over icemilk". He was the only one I knew growing up that had Pepsi in their house.

Coke was by far the best..... until they started screwing with the formula. New Coke and Coke classic turned me off to Coke.

That's totally different than what we're talking about. I wouldn't tell the waiter I want a coke if I really want a Sprite, Dr. Pepper, ect.
True. But I rarely heard "what kind of coke do you have," it was almost always "what kind of soda or soft drink do you have."

It’s a moral/character thing. I think that ball is more the property of the guy who hit it out, or even the organization, than it is the fan who just so happened to have the right seat. Fans have to throw back the football after they catch a field goal. I don’t understand why a significant baseball should be any different

But that’s how it is for every other home run ball. Fans can keep all the home run balls that they want but not the important one? **** that. The team and/or player usually put together some packages to get the ball back…combinations of some money, merchandise, tickets, etc and the ball is usually given to the player at that point. Not only is it a great moment in the players career but that’s a pretty cool story for a fan and they get some free stuff. Everyone wins …
