When was the SEC founded? Not gonna look it up, but guessing 1921..Two teams as founding members have played..wait for it 33 times.

"You know, there will never be a president with long hair. The bald men won't accept him. The bald men of America will vote for his bald opponent"

I mean it's pretty clear the North is Scotland and the South is England with Westeros being the known western world. The various houses are based on noble houses with some French royal history thrown in because well, the French royals and revolutionaries are always entertaining. But GoT isn't an allegory for anything current. It draws heavily on well known European wars and stories. People can read today into things and no author is completely removed from the time he lives in but where Martin's ideas came from is pretty clear.

I suppose the most obvious allegory would be to say that Martin is a modern day Oliver Cromwell that believes all royal houses are corrupt.
You don't know much about Martin. I know he got a lot of inspiration from The War of the Roses and other historic stories, but that is not what I am talking about. Martin has deep political beliefs and his story/stories are full of modern allegory.

I know you won't believe me so I will drop it.

Not really. Souvenir balls are part of the baseball experience. They get it, their choice.
He was saying baseball is trashy. Which it is I think we can all agree. The butt slapping in public, the spitting on the ground, the tight manpants, the nuts adjusting, the bat flipping, just not suited for a civil society 😅

Which millionaire player is raising a stink about the forever tradition of a baseball fan keeping a ball as a souvenir? I want to make sure that I always root against him never heard of her.

If I'm Wagner's lawyer I put up Double Gauldens and say that it was clear the guy was on the field with an incendiary device and at the time it was unclear how dangerous or explosive it was. My client is a effin hero and was prepared in the moment to sacrifice his life to save others.
Damn straight

He still would have had JG in 2018.

Yep. I’m just saying his firing would’ve been delayed. Then, who knows what would’ve happened. Probably don’t hire Pruitt because you’re in the next coaching cycle. Which means maybe Fulmer isn’t fired when he’s fired, White hired, and Heupel hired. Affects the entire athletics program.

Butterfly effects are funny. All those QB injuries in 2013 led to Danny White and Josh Heupel.
