I think sometimes folks don’t think straight in high stress situations. Maybe she just wanted him gone - not good thinking.

I remember when I was a Freshman at UT, Police Officers came to all the girls dorms and offered basic self-defense training. (I think there’d been a rash of rapes and almost rapes) No 1 was don’t try to use a weapon that can be used against you, because it will be. They talked about how to always carry our keys in our hands with one sticking out between our ring and middle finger to be used to poke into an eye if grabbed. Also taught us how to break a one hand wrist grab, etc. The number one thing we were told was travel with another and always, always (alone or with others) be acutely aware of your surroundings. And Run Away.
Had that same training in college. Read a lot of suspense novel plus true crime. So as I was reading that I just couldn’t believe she went back. Guess it’s just human nature to think the people you know would never do anything like that.

He was a beast.

Watching these highlights of 2014-2016 players, and seeing highlights of a lot of them still in the NFL is so bittersweet. Butch wasted such good talent. We should have been in Atlanta one of those 2015 or 2016 seasons, probably both. Flushed a Sugar Bowl opportunity, lost the team because he's a jackass.

Watching those highlights with the Vandy / SC games from 2016 make me cringe

That Vandy loss is the maddest that I have ever been after a Tennessee loss. I've died inside with other games, I've been frustrated by other games. I have never been so inexplicably overcome with "wtf" after a game as I was with that Vandy game. Unreal.

So… nothing to actually address fake injuries during the game. F’ing ridiculous.

Buncha morans on here figured out how to address it in an ethical, equitable, and objective way fairly easily. You telling me the NCAA couldn’t come up with something in an entire year since these incidents? Or didn’t WANT to come up with something.

Makes logical sense when you consider who is voting and controlling the rules.

The majority of teams don't run super uptempo, at least not like us. So it's in their best interest to be allowed to protect themselves from offenses like ours. So when there is input and the committees and boards go to vote, sat by university presidents, ADs, commissioners, etc...which are they going to pick?

I will never understand how guys with the talent to make millions playing a game can't stay out of trouble. Need to secure a big time linebacker and some portal depth in the offseason.
When in doubt, choke a beesh out!

too soon?

People are nuts. People get killed in these tyoe scenarios.

On one hand, this is insulting. On the other hand, it's nice to be good enough and matter enough to make a list like this.

The fact that people are so high on Kentucky is baffling. True, they aren't the same terrible team that they were years ago, but UT is still a better team than them. We also return more production AND talent than they do and staff continuity. I still haven't understood all the Will Levis hype, and the fact that Wandale Robinson is gone (who was a baller) will tell the tale. We'll see if Levis lives up to it. I personally don't think he will, especially with them bringing in a new OC.

It was unacceptable. I didn’t feel like we could fire Butch for going 8-4 but that was when it was obvious he wasn’t going to get us any higher.

I wanted that Sugar Bowl bad. Can’t believe we went 2-5 against Vandy there for a stretch. What a string of loser coaches.

Alyssa Lang was building up UK this morning. Saying they get no respect lol. She really went on for a whole segment about how awesome they are and how they are for sure winning 10 games. I was thinking to myself “no respect? have you media people not listened to yourselves this whole offseason?” Bc all I hear about is UK on every podcast, radio, tv,etc.

I always have to remind myself that these media folks most of the time can’t name more than 5 players on these teams.
