Alabama is an undisciplined team. Their penalties weren't an outlier this game. This was their 3rd road game and in each of them they have been called for double digit penalities for over 100 yards.

I would guess about 8 of Bama penalities were pre snap penalties and Saban acts like the noise didn't effect them.
This. This, all day long. Been saying since the game, this was nothing new for Bama; double digit penalties all season long. Absolutely the crowd was a factor, especially in the 1st and 4th quarters...yes, Young was able to overcome it, but it most definitely had them rattled and confused. They're one of the most undisciplined teams I've seen in awhile, they have been all season.

Now that it’s over, isn’t everyone happy Bryce Young played? Not only did he play, he played like a reigning Heisman winner.

They’re looking for them, but no excuses for Bama. Our offense just whooped that azz. And now the Vols are the most battle tested team in the country.
We were the team missing 4 starters.

Last night I sat with my son and got to see him see the real Neyland and Vols like he had just heard me speak about. As the ball goes thru the uprights, he didn’t turn to his girlfriend but to his dad and we grabbed each other’s arms and jumped up and down screaming, We beat Bama. It’s why I’ve been going with him these last several years for this moment. With a VFL on one side and him on the other, giving 5’s and screaming all night and then winning. A night we will remember till the day he has to help to lay me to my final rest.

What a night. I’m crying again as I post this. I am so thankful for this memory. Thank you Coach Heupel for not being the coach we wanted but being exactly what we needed.

Ok, need to grab another tissue…

In 1982, one season after sharing the SEC title with Georgia, Bear Bryant and Alabama were 5-0 and ranked #2 in the country after thumping #3 Penn State in Birmingham.

They rolled into Knoxville, TN and got beat 35-28. Snapping an 11-game winning streak over the Vols.

Then the wheels came off...

After rebounding over Cincinnati and Mississippi State, they dropped three more games.
#11 LSU 20-10
Southern Miss 38-29
Auburn 23-22
All at home, and they'd had an 11-game and 7-game streak over LSU and Auburn, respectively. And a 57-game home winning streak.

They won the Liberty Bowl over Illinois, and Bear Bryant retired.

Alabama has a lot of flaws this season. They're lucky they aren't 4-3. I bet they lose again, and we start to see the end of the Saban Era in college football.

The fact is, every flag thrown against Bama was legitimately for a penalty. Most of them were for false starts, delay of game, whatever. Every DPI Flag was absolutely legit. The most egregious flag thrown was in their favor, the obvious OPI that was called DPI and gave them a touchdown.

Now, you might be able to make the argument that they let us get away with stuff. But I could go through the game also and point out multiple holds that we’re not called against them. We can both play that game.

You lost because you couldn’t cover Jalin Hyatt, we ran the ball down your throats, and your kicker sucks. Deal with it.

The amount of goal post moving by opposing fan bases is hilarious. Both UGA and UK fans are now convinced that we still haven’t played a good defense and that UK has a better defense than Alabama. Apparently they won’t let us score more than 30.
My gosh those Kensucky fans are delirious.I hope we beat them by at least 4 touchdowns.

@MarcoVol - See! This is how not to be a killer of joy! Take your logic elsewhere!

Don’t see them losing until maybe SEC champ game. Who you got them losing to? Miss St? Seemed more plausible before they got spanked by UK. Ole Miss? Ole Miss can’t throw it well enough so will depend if they stop the run. And Ole Miss will have to stop Bryce Young.
