Banks spoke today on how much they like him. Its about the 3rd time I've heard one of the coaches say that in the past few weeks. Said today they really expect him to help them and love that he has experience. Said it shows in his mentality out there.

They keep mentioning our edge guys. One of them is going to go beast mode this year I think. We really, really need that to be the case. But the way they're talking about the edge guys is giving me hope.

Does Garner coach them? Are they DL or LB? Neither or both?

AP mentioned on the 2 minute drill that the staff could move Hyatt outside and play Calloway in the slot if Bru is not eligible.

Interesting. Everything I've heard says Merrill will play that outside spot if Bru isn't eligible.

He's one of those guys that is pretty solid in college.......and then does great in the NFL. Just a gut feeling.

Hmm. Between the VQ and 247 guys, and tidbits from the staff, it looks like we're gonna be lining guys up all over the place and seeing what sticks. Tillman's spot and role are locked, obviously, but I'll be interested to see the WR corps evolve. Maybe we'll have different WR groups for different situations, like how hockey teams have lines.

McDonald is the name that everyone keeps talking about. Him or getting Mitchell back and Mitchell just being a dependable defender/tackler.

yeh he flashed like crazy the second half of the yr. There was some stretches where he was unblockable.

Up until the Florida game I think playing time is up for grabs. Staff has full confidence in Tillman and Hyatt, everyone else has to earn it.

If Bru is eligible he will have ample opportunity to be the man opposite Tillman.

Thanks-- that's surprising with all the seemingly hype that Hyatt was/is getting from rededicating himself and putting on muscle weight... Hopefully Bru settles in and we won't need to worry about it.

Hyatt's not built for outside WR. RN he's slated to start at slot receiver.

From what Tim Banks said today, it would appear Tank/Flowers will be the starting safeties. Burrell one of the CB spots and TMac at STAR. I think Hadden starts at the other CB spot if this is the lineup for the secondary.
