Is Ky a bad matchup for us? Good receivers, a garbage QB, but that same QB threw for nearly 400 yards last year, and a good defense. Nobody has scored much on them this year
No because their OL is trash this time around and our pass rush is much better. Also in Neyland.

2 other things mentioned during Josh and Swain where we struggled last year and are much, much better this year:

1) redzone defense. Went from 119th to 19th.

2) OL. Speaks for itself.

We will get to Levis and take him down because he's no houdini Heisman winner, their pass pro is AWFUL and our ability to bring pressure is tops. He'll also make mistakes and throw picks. He has the football IQ of a rock.

We also have an elite rush defense now, so that's a no go.

Meanwhile our offense has only gotten better and better.

I'm seeing 45-24.

Vince Marrow was the UK coach sub-tweeting a recruit that chose us over UK…on. His. Daughter’s. Wedding. Day.
RENT. FREE.

Meanwhile that man looks like he needs help finding the right bus to get him home safely because his grandchildren are worried sick about him because he "gets lost easily". Smdh

For anyone thinking UK's defense is even in the realm of Bama's...

Even after our thrashing, Alabama's mighty defense is still only allowing 4.42 yards per play. That is better than UGA and 6th nationally.

Before our game it was 3.78 YPP and tied for 1st nationally.

We gained 8.1 YPP...nearly a first down every play 🤣🤣

Fwiw UK allows 5.04 ypp...30th nationally...or 1.26 YPP more than Bama before we tore them up. Imagine throwing another 100 yards on top of our Bama stats...CAKE!!!

My brother has Alzheimer’s. He was diagnosed at age 52. That is not a typo. 52. If to say it has worried me that I might get diagnosed is an understatement. He just turned 57 and I’m 52. In 5 years it has devastated his short term memory, lost his job and now on disability. Just a terrible disease that is heartbreaking watching their downward spiral. Words can’t explain.
Sending Prayers

What’s with the huge difference between our pass rush/rush defense and our pass defense? Is it just lack of talent in the backend? If we could just be decent there we may win it all.

We have to play too much soft zone because of injuries and Tank being out. Tank's back and we need to get some guys healthy. Prior to Bama we were starting soft zone and moving up to press man more as the game moved on. The philosophy is to pass rush the heck out of QB and force turnovers. If the opponent moves the ball, tighten up in the red zone and force FG's. With a prolific O it seems to work well and will get better as the talent is upgraded in the secondary.

We have gone against 3 SEC O-lines plus Pitt that were strong and physical. If the officials allow for the o-line tackling and grabbing the pass rush is less effective. So we have to scheme and d-playcall around it. Against AK and BY that was really tough to do. They had monster games despite getting the pizz knocked out of them. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge the other guys were really good.
