Dude just stuttered his way through saying what it took Bama to lose “17 penalties, muffed punt, ridiculous pass interference call, mismanaged clock”I think Bear is just terrible on camera, but his picks aren't that terrible. He is about 10% less than betting experts success rates though so I do think Gameday could get someone better up there, but they probably also won’t be great on camera. I’d just take whoever the “betting guy” is for gameday off camera.
For reference, Bear is just under 54% success on his career picks. Expert bettors are closer to 60-65%.
Thanks for the reminder.Big Noon Kickoff is way better.
He hand picks three. 54% of your best 3 is awful.I think Bear is just terrible on camera, but his picks aren't that terrible. So many excuses
Definitely didn’t mean to seem like I was arguing your point or disagree… more so just venting lolOh I don’t like the guy. I think he’s a terrible person to put on TV and I don’t give two ***** on listening to his opinions… I was just pointing out his betting pick success isn’t as terrible as people think.
Think it depends on how we lose the UGA game and how we look winning the other games. Lose close game to UGA on the road and win decisively vs UK, USCe, Vandy and it will be hard to keep us out. Especially considering the peripherals (i.e. exciting brand of football, best offense, crazy fan support).
Bunch of “Little Man Syndrome” in this thread today…looking for reasons to feel offended or slighted.
Game Day is simply stating facts. A 1-loss TN is down the pecking order from some of these other schools. But there is still definitely a path should we stumble.
Instead of looking for reasons to be ticked, I’m just enjoying the fact that we are all over College Game Day. What a year we are having!
They pick them to make money though. Bear doesn't. So upsets are amongst the picks to makxomize money. That’s kind of the point of betting though. “Expert betters” aren’t dropping 10+ single bets on a CFB Saturday in my opinion, or using parlays.. they are handpicking a few of their favorites each weekend too.

Some of us remember that Tennessee would never have gotten to play in the national championship game in 1998 if we had one loss. We had to be undefeated. They all thought several 1 loss teams were better than us, and we would be embarrassed by FL ST. They don’t want us in the conversation now either. They didn’t want Peyton in the Heisman conversation. They don’t want HH in it either. So there is definitely a reason to be looking for the bias.Bunch of “Little Man Syndrome” in this thread today…looking for reasons to feel offended or slighted.
