Straight from the horses mouth:
If you want to know why Georgia football is a 22.5-point favorite over Florida on Saturday, you only need to look back to the closing remarks made by Kirby Smart after last year’s 34-7 win over the Gators.
“If you don’t recruit, there’s no coach out there that can out-coach recruiting,” Smart said last season. “I don’t care who you are. The best coach to ever play the game better be a good recruiter because no coaching is going to out-coach players. Anybody will tell you that our defense is good because we have good players.”
Cormani McClain decision puts greater microscope on Georgia football-Florida recruiting gap
I didn't say their resume was better than Tennessee. I'm just saying the take wasn't so horrible like you're making it sound. Kansas had earned a better ranking at the time, even if the example used wasn't a great one.Kansas quickly jumped to 5-0 (beating 0 top 25 teams to do it)...with such resume defining wins as Tennessee Tech (FCS), West Virginia (3-4), Houston (4-3), Duke (5-3) and Iowa State (3-4). Duke and Iowa State at the time they played them were quality wins. WVU was 0-1 and Houston was 1-1.
After the Iowa State win, Kansas jumped to 19th which I felt was fair, could have argued after beating unbeaten Duke they deserved to get into the top 25. But they've lost 3 straight and at no point did they EVER have a better resume than Tennessee.
It’s comfy too.View attachment 507125Got it just in time.
But not better than us. I was listening to the show the morning this conversation occurred, and Dusty Dvorachek was loosing his mind at Danny in particular about Tennessee. Danny is a BAD ACC apologist and he despises the SEC.At the time, they did have a better resume than lots of teams ranked above them. Preseason rankings were the only reason ku was ranked so low at that point, nothing to do with conference.
All good ones. Another group I recommend and will actually be seeing in Knoxville tonight is Flatland Cavalry. They are an awesome country/folk/Tejano band from Midland, TX. Super stoked!Jason Isbell, Jamestown Revival, The Lone Bellow, Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) all also put on great shows live. I'm sure Chris Stapleton live is amazing as well, but haven't seen him in person.
Lately I've been listening to Larry Fleet and The White Buffalo a lot in the rotation. If you're looking for a strong female artist I'd suggest Morgan Wade especially her acoustic stuff.
I'm nose ain't, but even I'd feel bad for hoarding that many notifications.
So every century ages you up 1 year. You are claiming 60, so by the power of the maths that would make you 6,000?
"Still a pup."
