Not out of the realm of possibility we finish top 25 in all 4 major sports this year.

Maybe even top-15/10 in all of them.

On 2000...two years from winning a national title...Phil couldn't even field a top 25 team. I forgot about that year.

If Clausen were able to start from game 1 that year's results may have been better. Florida most likely is a win. The Gaffney no catch be damned. Should've been in the national championship game the following year. The 2001 squad was the last elite level football team at Tennessee. Talent all over the field on both sides of the ball. The real decline began in 2002 in my opinion.

Now watching the 2000 Sooners-Cornroiders game...CFB was sooo fun back then, there were so many programs all over the country that could put together great squads.

I hate what the follower age has brought, a bunch of gutless kids that all piled up in 4-5 spots...it has nearly ruined CFB.

In 2000 alone you had great Nebraska, Oklahoma. FSU, Miami, Washington, K-State, Virginia Tech, Oregon State and Oregon teams.

I agree...but 2000 sucked...for back then. 2001 is like a dagger to my heart...how in the heck did they let that stupid scrub beat them?...oh I remember Chavis and Fulmer went full retard plating conservatively as if the game were won..meanwhile Nick didn't have to do anything besides call freaking QB draws...which evidently Chavis had ZERO idea how to stop

That 2001 SEC championship game was the turning point for UT football. We just didn't realize it at the time. A trip to the abyss that the program appears to just now be reversing course and hopefully staying away from. It's time to be elite again.

BaseVols are Way Too Early Top 25 #2. LSU is currently ranked #1.

I know Track & Field is climbing. Swimming & Diving, Tennis, and Rowing are always winning stuff.

Would be nice if we had more sports.... maybe with all this success we'll be able to add a few more (foolish hope).
