Yeah I mean from a gameday-Gameday atmosphere it's not the best they could do but its really cool and great for those programs and IMO great for college football. The HBCUs have a long rich history of college football and it would be cool for them to be great again.

But also its a great depiction of how underfunded and disregarded the HBCUs are. Old infrastructure and lack of a financial ability to keep up facilities and beautify campuses.

Johns Hopkins receives 7 times more research funding than all 101 HBCUs combined.

100 American universities have endowments greater than $1B.
7 HBCUs have endowments greater than $100M. None above $1B.
Non-HBCUs receive $1,600 more federal dollars per student than HBCUs do.
An SEC school can bat it's eyes and get $100M from taxpayers and donors. And HBCUs would have to have dirt on someone for half that. Not at all a political point I'm making - just the reality of the situation.
Big Facts...you're a Renaissance Man. You know snakes and Socioeconomics

🤔...way to hit and run there Dirtman. I think segregation is wrong...and that's all I'm going to say about that.
Not sure what the hit and run was. Do you think HBCUs are segregationist? HBCUs were created by black Americans to educate black Americans/freed slaves when white universities refused to admit black Americans. You don't have to be black to go there. They don't segregate black and white students at those schools. Whites get minority scholarships at HBCUs just like black Americans get minority scholarships at places like UTK.

I mean depending on who gets it that’s a few months rent. I didn’t mean life-changing in the sense they’re set for life. I just mean a lot of servers struggle to get by and $1000 can provide a few months of security if you know how to budget your money.
$1000 just doesn't go as far as it once did. Look at our economy. But like I said, it's very generous of OchoCinco to do.

Inflation is a real bitch.

Lmao...you don't think $1000 is life changing for some people in this world? What rock are you living under?
In "this world"? Yes. In this country? No. It's enough to provide temporary relief, but I doubt it's going to change your life. Unless you can parlay it into even more money.

HBCU's are not segregated. At least a couple have higher white enrollment than they do black enrollment. HBCU is just a reference to their origins during segregation when blacks were not allowed to enroll in many "white" universities.
For example: TSU is 70% black, 16% white. UT Knoxville is 78% white and 5.5% black.
