Ya, I'm sure it has happened. But having so few examples doesn't give me a lot of hope that heupel would just turn down multiple NFL hc offers. I think he'd be the outlier if he did, and hoping for outliers doesn't usually work out.

What should give you hope is that there is no real rumor that nfl is interested in Heup…. AtoZ garbage…… the second thing is the majority of teams wouldn’t want to bring the veer and shoot to the nfl.

And others have given names of coaches that refused NFL contracts, and you've either ignored them or hand-waved. i.e. "You actually have to go back to the 60s to support your argument..." etc

You're not here to improve your opinion. You're here dangling your opinion as fact using horrible, horrible logic and then holding others to a much higher standard of argument than you're willing to apply to yourself. And then when someone calls you on it, you retreat into "opinion" and then play the victim.

This is where we have gotten in this old world. Like we know everyone's problem's or their kids problem or dog's and cats. lol We use to know how to laugh at ourselves but now people walk around with their sensitive feelings on their shoulders. My dad's passing was devasted me also but that doesn't mean I get butt hurt every time someone makes a joke about dad's.

A lot of it is being able to realize when something is about you, or not. Cancer jokes are pretty common, my uncle passed away this year from it. Do I take every cancer joke I hear as a personal attack now? Hell no, but some in my family absolutely have started doing that. It drives me nuts.

Yesterday was the first game I've attended and all I gotta say is WOW. That opening lightshow videos on YouTube don't do it justice.
That environment is like crack. I gotta go back. It may be next year or year after but I'm going back.
If I was a recruit and there for Nightmare at Neyland(It was a nightmare for KY). I'd be wanting to commit and sign some papers asap

The Raliegh News and Observer is reporting that Tennessee and NC State are finalizing an agreement to play in 2024 in Charlotte.

I think that is a real possibility but nothing is signed or fully agreed on. NC State is looking for a game after BYU got out of their home and home with the Wolfpack because of the Cougars move to the Big 12.

Tennessee is looking for a game because of the Oklahoma series getting cancelled with Oklahoma coming into the SEC in 2025.

The Tennessee administration has been looking for a home game and not a neutral site game, but with the future of SEC scheduling unknown starting in 2025 with arrival of Texas and Oklahoma, a home and home with a power 5 school outside of the conference is challenging to agree to with 9 or 10 (likely 9) conference games coming and getting a one off home game from a power 5 school is unlikely.

So we will see what happens with this possibility which makes a lot of sense, but this administration is aware of fans not loving neutral site games especially with losing a marquee home game that year with Oklahoma.

I've never heard of a single college coach turning down an NFL HC job. Granted you don't usually hear about the ones who said no, but still.

That's the rub. I've heard plenty of rumors of college coaches turning down NFL gigs. But teams keep that stuff hush-hush. You only see it on the news when they say yes.

Hole is right although he could have said it nicer…. People spend too much time trying to prevent things that may offend them instead of learning how to not be offended…. I have a daughter that had absentee seizures which caused her to be socially awkward and developmentally delayed…. She had started getting bullied at school. Instead of running up to the school to try and bubble wrap her to try to prevent from feeling bad…. I taught her how to have pride in herself and to stand up for herself… She was very proud of herself when she stood up for herself and the bullies started leaving her alone…. she even made some new friends.

Being offended by the term mouth breather( been around for ever) or the people that were offended by weezer and jackcrevol’s mom jokes are being ridiculous… it obviously had nothing to do with that person’s son or anyone else’s mom.

Agree with all of that. But there was absolutely no reason to be that juvenile to a dad that was obviously sensitive about it because of his son. I absolutely hate when people try to bring others down to make themselves look like the smart, wise, superior person.
