What we have to worry about with UGAs defense is their front 7 stopping our run without having to involve their DBs.
It’ll be interesting to see how well their DB’s play with our WR’s. The only way to defend us is man up your CB’s and pressure the QB. Trust your defense… That’s why Narduzzi has defended us the best this year

I think that’s why he said without involving their DB’s
The point is with 7 to stop the run, that would leave 4 dbs to cover our 4 wr. No way they even attempt that. You more often than not depending on the defense have a 6 or 5 man box against us. 6 and we can still run but likely throw. 5 and we can still throw but likely run. Nobody has figured it out yet. Hendon running really stresses the defense. Can’t account for that extra runner.

Partially yes but we left a lot of plays on the field. We still had guys open, Hooker was just missing them at times. Obviously, we’ve been hitting our stride offensively since then.

The conversation on here this morning was people talking about their favorite TN teams. To me, this is my favorite team of all time. It is even better than the National Championship team. Let me tell you why.

My daughter has never understood my passion for the VOLS. She never even liked college football. She used to laugh that I would get so upset about, in her words, "just a silly game". Sadly, she had never watched a game with me. This year she finished grad school and started a great job. Since she was finally working and making her own money, she told me she would get me anything I wanted for my birthday within reason. I immediately thought of VOL tickets.

Since we live in Louisiana, I wasn't going to let her spend what it would cost for us to go to a game in Neyland. That was just too much money for her since she had only started her job a month before this. I have only been to Neyland once. Unfortunately, I had a heart attack at the start of the game and spent the entire game in a medical room. Didn't get to see even 1 play. Sorry, I digress. I knew we played at LSU this year, so that was the perfect game. My best friend's 60th birthday was also that weekend. She told me to invite him, so I did. I was like a little kid at Christmas time when she told me the tickets showed up on her phone. The game was all I could talk about for nearly 2 months.

The Friday before the Florida game, she invited me over to her house to watch the game. I was stunned and so excited. We watched the VOLS play together for the first time ever. She laughed at me when I warned that even up 17 the game wasn't over. She did not know the last 20 years of VOL football like I did. She was so excited when we won. Now she was talking about the upcoming LSU game as much as I was.

The day finally arrived. We headed to Baton Rouge. It was myself, my best friend, my daughter, and her fiancée. Love everything about that boy except for the LSU shirt he wore that day. It was a climb to the nose-bleed section, but we had a blast. It was fantastic day.

During the Alabama game she kept calling me for updates while she drove home. When she made it home, we spent the last 30 minutes on speakerphone yelling and cheering for now OUR VOLS. She was out eating with friends during the Kentucky game but she still texted " what a way to start" and "Go VOLS" when we went up 30-6. This morning I woke up to a text inviting me over to her house to watch the Georgia game.

I obviously want us to win next week, but in my mind we have already won. No amount of W's in the win column will ever match the joy of seeing my daughter become a VOL fan. Hopefully I live to enjoy many games and maybe even national championships with her. I will never forget the coaches and the players on this team. I wish I could personally tell them all just how much a "silly game" can mean in life.

GO VOLS
😭😭😭😭😭 I can relate to this! My daughter went to a game with me a few years ago just to make me happy. It was a boring season opener with very little to cheer about because of Pruitt. She entertained herself by watching the cheerleaders, the band and seeing if drunk people were going to fall down the stairs. The only thing that impressed her was the band marching sideways backwards while playing an instrument. Said she would never go back. Told me I ruined her childhood screaming “Run, baby, Run!” every Saturday morning. Imagine my surprise when she casually said she might watch the AL game. Didn’t think she really would. She did! Sent me text during the game. The last one said, “Woooooooooo!” Even said she picked something out of her closet that was orange to wear because she didn’t have a TN shirt. So happy for you!!!

What's everyone's guess for the time of the Missouri game? I know it will be announced tomorrow. But looking at the schedule that week I can't get a good feel whether it will be a noon game or a night game. It's senior day so I'm hoping for a night game. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts. Go Vols.
Hoping for a night game! Surely after what we did Saturday, they’ll want our last home game to be a night game.

I don't want a night game in November.

My boy told me this morning that in his circle of friends and relatives, none of them really want to have to play us, but that they are glad it is at Sanford and they believe that will give them the edge. He said nobody wants any part of playing us in Knoxville or even on a neutral field...lol.
My buddy is not looking forward to this game. This time last year he was texting me about if we could score on that D. This year he is asking how many points will GA D gives up.

They've not been tested anywhere near the level our boys are playing at.

Oregon? I don't think so. 1st game under a 1st year coach, right? You know they weren't hitting on all cylinders by any means.

After Oregon, who? Mizzou is probably the next best team they've faced and we saw how that went. Heck, Kent St gave them more than they wanted.

If they have trouble scoring like they did against Mizzou, we're literally gonna win by fiddy.
Did Mizzou actually "do" anything that caused it, or was UGAs players just having an "off" game, or was it a mixture of both? It is hard to tell the difference sometimes, but if you watch a lot of ball you can usually tell.

I didn't watch the game, so I don't know what Mizzou was doing.

I love you to death and you are a really sweet person...but that nonsense earlier about the kid really got on my nerves (not you, the one that started it with their overdone whining) and I am so sick of that garbage.

People joke all the time with stuff like "that fool was spazzing out like he was having a seizure" and I laugh because it is freaking funny, heck I have said stuff like that myself.

Now...I don't think I have ever spoken about it on here, but my wife and my middle daughter have to take medication to control seizures (not epilepsy, but that is irrelevant) and I don't pitch a "I want attention and everybody to feel sorry for my troubles" fit about it when people are just joking around.

I am 100% positive that literally every single person on VN has some kind of issue where they could pitch a fit about people joking around in some way. ..but we don't.

I didn’t have a problem with people joking about it. I didn’t really care one way or another that the dad said what he did. I would not have cared if someone would have said what you just did about it. It was the condescending ridicule that got to me. And if it had been his first time, I would have probably thought “goodness” and went on. Just can’t stand people who try to belittle others.

And I love you too, and I am a sweet person until I get all Irish defending others. 😂
