I stared at this for a while watching on replayI cannot get over our OL..I think it might be our best ever. Dropping 7, BOLD, and still a TD, but DW and Crawford taking care of business.
And shout out to Omari Thomas, who is Elite, and Terry and crew developing.
We are not a scheme, we dominate on both lines of scrimmage and have a scheme.

The ONLY reason that worked was because Hooker had an off game, and we had a couple of inopportune TOs. He missed several critical throws. Watch that game again...Narduzzi is lucky that it wasn't a massive blow out. It’ll be interesting to see how well their DB’s play with our WR’s. The only way to defend us is man up your CB’s and pressure the QB. Trust your defense… That’s why Narduzzi has defended us the best this year
I missed this post this morning & only saw it because @SweetasSoda replied tonight. Great post - I got a little choked up reading it. My youngest was born in 1997. Despite being an alum & us living in Knoxville with season tickets her whole life, she has maintained an air of disinterest. She now lives in Raleigh and had FOMO reading all our texts about the FL game/tailgate. She drove in for that game and has now been to AL and KY - she's been sending me TN links nearly every day! Thanks to Hype and this team! The conversation on here this morning was people talking about their favorite TN teams. To me, this is my favorite team of all time. It is even better than the National Championship team. Let me tell you why.
My daughter has never understood my passion for the VOLS. She never even liked college football. She used to laugh that I would get so upset about, in her words, "just a silly game". Sadly, she had never watched a game with me. This year she finished grad school and started a great job. Since she was finally working and making her own money, she told me she would get me anything I wanted for my birthday within reason. I immediately thought of VOL tickets.
Since we live in Louisiana, I wasn't going to let her spend what it would cost for us to go to a game in Neyland. That was just too much money for her since she had only started her job a month before this. I have only been to Neyland once. Unfortunately, I had a heart attack at the start of the game and spent the entire game in a medical room. Didn't get to see even 1 play. Sorry, I digress. I knew we played at LSU this year, so that was the perfect game. My best friend's 60th birthday was also that weekend. She told me to invite him, so I did. I was like a little kid at Christmas time when she told me the tickets showed up on her phone. The game was all I could talk about for nearly 2 months.
The Friday before the Florida game, she invited me over to her house to watch the game. I was stunned and so excited. We watched the VOLS play together for the first time ever. She laughed at me when I warned that even up 17 the game wasn't over. She did not know the last 20 years of VOL football like I did. She was so excited when we won. Now she was talking about the upcoming LSU game as much as I was.
The day finally arrived. We headed to Baton Rouge. It was myself, my best friend, my daughter, and her fiancée. Love everything about that boy except for the LSU shirt he wore that day. It was a climb to the nose-bleed section, but we had a blast. It was fantastic day.
During the Alabama game she kept calling me for updates while she drove home. When she made it home, we spent the last 30 minutes on speakerphone yelling and cheering for now OUR VOLS. She was out eating with friends during the Kentucky game but she still texted " what a way to start" and "Go VOLS" when we went up 30-6. This morning I woke up to a text inviting me over to her house to watch the Georgia game.
I obviously want us to win next week, but in my mind we have already won. No amount of W's in the win column will ever match the joy of seeing my daughter become a VOL fan. Hopefully I live to enjoy many games and maybe even national championships with her. I will never forget the coaches and the players on this team. I wish I could personally tell them all just how much a "silly game" can mean in life.
GO VOLS
That’s why he said stop the run without involving the DB’s. Nobody runs a base 4-3 or 3-4 anymore. Uga will stay in nickel and dime the whole gameThe point is with 7 to stop the run, that would leave 4 dbs to cover our 4 wr. No way they even attempt that. You more often than not depending on the defense have a 6 or 5 man box against us. 6 and we can still run but likely throw. 5 and we can still throw but likely run. Nobody has figured it out yet. Hendon running really stresses the defense. Can’t account for that extra runner.

Idk, it was strange. Mizzou played good. They just kept getting stops and UGA mistakes I think. UGA had plenty of chances to take over the game, but they just didn't.Did Mizzou actually "do" anything that caused it, or was UGAs players just having an "off" game, or was it a mixture of both? It is hard to tell the difference sometimes, but if you watch a lot of ball you can usually tell.
I didn't watch the game, so I don't know what Mizzou was doing.
Oh no doubt. But that’s also why he missed some of those throws is because of the pressure. Definitely his most pressured game so far. And a few drops didn’t help either. He still had over 300 passing yards and completed 65% and still out worse offensive performanceThe ONLY reason that worked was because Hooker had an off game, and we had a couple of inopportune TOs. He missed several critical throws. Watch that game again...Narduzzi is lucky that it wasn't a massive blow out.
He gambled on Hooker being off and he "won".
I think the staff picked up on something and the team got irritated in overtime...we literally scored twice. The refs stole one TD from us, so Hooker just threw another one...that cracked me up.
In essence..Narduzzi sold out to stop the run and pressure HH and it only worked because Hendon missed wide open recievers a few times.
In my op on this subject I meant..if they can stop the run without having to devote another guy to key on our running game. The point is with 7 to stop the run, that would leave 4 dbs to cover our 4 wr. No way they even attempt that. You more often than not depending on the defense have a 6 or 5 man box against us. 6 and we can still run but likely throw. 5 and we can still throw but likely run. Nobody has figured it out yet. Hendon running really stresses the defense. Can’t account for that extra runner.
BOOM!!! SLAUGHTER!!!
