Florida, I was. But that was before we knew what we now know about this team. And seeing them win the Pitt game, the Florida game the LSU game and Bama... We now know this team has the mental fortitude to not let a mistake keep beating you.
I'm fact this may be the most mentally tough, confident team we've had in 30 years.
For that reason, I was not worried about Kentucky. Further, if a team beats us it will be because they beat us, not because we puckered up and shrank in the moment.
That is the biggest difference between this team and any of the last 15 years, maybe even longer...
I'm not nervous either. I know we can win. I know UGA can win. Expecting a great gameI’m not really nervous about UGA. I expect us to win. I’d be shocked if it’s not, at minimum, a one possession game late in the 4th. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we win by 14+. Our team is for real, and UGA hasn’t run into the Tenn train yet.
TN/10. No way completing around 50% of passes is enough to beat us, and that’s with no turnovers. What I find encouraging is that against better defense Georgia's passing game hasn't been as good.
at Missouri: 54.5% 312 yards 0 TDs, 0 INTs
vs Florida: 50.0% 316 yards 2 TDs, 2 INTs
Missouri kept it close though because they were also able to hold Georgia's rushing game in check a bit. 169 yards, 4.7 YPC, and just 2 TDs with 2 fumbles
Florida couldn't stop the run though giving up 239 and 6.0 YPC for 4 TDs
Neither Missouri or Florida were especially great on offense either.
Missouri only managed 294 total yards on just 53 plays with only 1 TD offensively
Florida got to 371 total yards on 71 plays but only scored twice
Missouri wins if they didn't end up kicking 5 field goals and 5 punts.
I'm struggling to find the energy to be nervous about the game. Feels like all the pressure is on UGA. Go compete for 60 min and i'll be content with whatever outcome. It's all gravy at this point.I’m not really nervous about UGA. I expect us to win. I’d be shocked if it’s not, at minimum, a one possession game late in the 4th. Oh wow. That sounds cool.University Center….. it’s where they have chic fil a/ steak and shake and other things on campus now…. The old one use to have a movie theatre that you could watch earlier big games on…. Down under is where my friends and I hung out…. We usually bring down Burger King from the old UC(had several options)….. it had pool tables, bowling alley, arcade games, and big screen TVs with all the games on them…. We would hang out there till walking on over to the stadium.
New favorite!…Chad Johnson
Jalin Hyatt Talks Meeting Former NFL Star Chad Johnson | Rocky Top Insider
Josh Pate is comparing our season to LSU’s in 2019, so I’ll tap into that. Worst case scenario, Hyatt splits some of those votes and costs Hooker. My LSU comparison stems from Ja’Marr Chase’s productivity and if anything it was even more dazzling than Hyatt’s. Another difference is it was from game 1 onward. I can’t think of the last Heisman winner who began their candidacy in game four onward. Maybe he earns an invitation to New York but I’m happy with his apparent favorite status for the Belitnikoff. Now let me preface this with I am in no way saying Hyatt will do this but let’s say the following happens:
If Hyatt has another big game Saturday afternoon. Say 13 for 150-200 and 4-5 TDs where does that put him in the Heisman race and would it officially be his to lose at this point?
That would be absolutely showing out against the top competition in the conference and doing it on the biggest stages. I’d say at minimum he’d be 2 behind Hook but you could easily make the argument the other way too.
I agree with that….. the layout, more seating, and no chili in the bag is positives but on the negative side…. Harder to find a tv to watch the games on…. No Down Under(it was awesome) no movie theatre where they play the biggest game of the day(non UT)… I liked Smokey’s place and the other non-commercial restaurant they had as well.Easier to get around. I like the layout.
