I think they will go after Gus Malzahn, given the success former UCF coaches have had in the SEC lately.

We had a tuxedo. She passed at 19 a couple of years ago. She was the bossy momma. The black one on the stairs is our "engineer". Can open anything...doors, cabinets, etc. I had to change door handles on critical doors (garage, for instance) because she would open them. She had good enough sense to stay inside, but the not-too-smart orange tabby (best cats ever, btw) would wander out completely unaware of his peril. We live on acreage in the country, with lots of coyotes, so our cats are strictly indoors.

Orange tabby cats are the best natured cats!

I agree somewhat with Klatt that Hooker is gonna have to take it to another level, particularly vs UGA and possibly Bama/LSU in the SEC CG, for this team to have the best shot at a Natty.

Is it just me or has Hooker been playing a little tentative/indecisive these last 2 games? Yes, Hyatt’s gotten some long TDs on some busted coverages but I think Hooker can play even better ball. Things like throwing it away Instead of taking a sack, getting out of the pocket and scrambling rather than playing it safe… Dude is amazing so don’t hear what I’m NOT saying. Just that I think he has a few more notches he can take his play up even more.

I think he will continue to play better each week. . . everyone has so far. . . strange thing to say about a Vols team after the past 15 years.

We have two years like this and now everyone wants to poach our coaches... WOW, this is crazy...

Glad they are so close--- I just don't see Heup or just about anyone on this staff going anywhere for 2-3 more seasons. I really think they love it here...They are just getting things started here, why would they want to leave as long as they are getting paid!?

The JWT moving to LB thing makes a little sense, but definitely agree that they may have a RB on the hook at the end of the season.

I really think it is going to be very easy to go shopping in the transfer portal at the end of the season and pluck just about anyone we want... You'd be stupid to put yourself in the portal and not want to come to UT if asked...

My thought as well. Also, JWT doesn't change his position without being willing to imo. If he didn't want to be a linebacker he'd be in the portal.

If RB isn't working out, you've got Jeremy Banks as a roll model for what switching can do. It's cool he's not transferring, because that tells me he loves the team and wants to stay in Knoxville.

Modern football has killed TOP as an important stat, maybe more than any other tbh. UK held the ball for 45+ minutes (!) last year and still lost lol

It was always a useless stat in modern times, but hurry up offenses have certainly exposed and magnified just how silly it is.

At best, it was merely reflective of general success, at one time many many years ago when teams ran the ball 90% of the time and all teams snapped it about the same time....and yet the last 70-80(?) years it has been useless because of the forward pass...and yet still half of the media and a ton of average fans are still stuck in 1910s football mentality.

I have no doubt Lane would go, but I think it would be a mistake on his part. That program is a dumpster fire, and they expect a quick turnaround. I just don't believe Lane can turn it all around that fast. He's not Josh Heupel.
