Yes about civil cases. But I don't understand all the talk about "deciding to press charges." It is the responsibility of the police to arrest. It is the District Attorney's responsibility to press charges. Individuals don't press charges. Individuals may ask the police to arrest someone, just like they may ask the police not to, etc., but not compel them to do so. It is the responsibility of the local police and DA to do something. It is only in civil cases where individual initiate action. That logic only applies in civil lawsuits. So, if the Michigan player decided to sue UM for negligently allowing such a situation to happen, I guess he can attempt to sue his own school. Won't matter one lick in the matter of attempting to press criminal charges.
Hahahah the tuxedo cat does that too. Back legs sitting while the front legs just hang down on any given surface. Cats are really weird if you have them in your house and not just see them sleeping in passing.

They also seem to have their own distinct personalities, even moreso than dogs. The all black one is very serious, kind of acts like a teenager. The tuxedo is just bonkers, and acts like the polar opposite.
If Lane goes there Ole Miss and Bama fans are going to riot. I have a feeling even Lane thinks the admin and boosters are crazy there.
We live in an apartment, can’t let mine get fresh air either. Kind of feel bad for them because we only have one window with a cat tower for them to sun bathe, but we’re moving into a house soon.We had a tuxedo. She passed at 19 a couple of years ago. She was the bossy momma. The black one on the stairs is our "engineer". Can open anything...doors, cabinets, etc. I had to change door handles on critical doors (garage, for instance) because she would open them. She had good enough sense to stay inside, but the not-too-smart orange tabby (best cats ever, btw) would wander out completely unaware of his peril. We live on acreage in the country, with lots of coyotes, so our cats are strictly indoors.
