FPI does a lot more than just on field performance, stats and results. The thing that really drags us down and props up Texas is recruiting rankings. FPI takes into account roster talent in their power rankings. Texas has the 6th best roster talent according to 247. No idea what it’s rated on ESPN but I’d assume it’s high too. Were 19th.
So if ESPN is going to take recruiting rankings into account (and we know how suspect that number is from their rankings) then how do they calculate personnel development?

I’ll go ahead and answer that, they can’t.

Garbage metric

The amount of "other" stats that seem to pop up to justify some of these ESPN ranking systems is wild man...

Call me crazy, but if you got the 6th best roster talent and are 5-3 that'd be a red flag. We're 19th and undefeated that'd be a positive to rankings. But what do I know.

For those interested.
1. Bama (beat)
2. Georgia (about to beat)

3. Ohio State
4. A&M (LOL)
5. Clemson
6. Texas
7. Orgeon
8. LSU (destroyed)
9. OU
10. ND
11. USC
12. Florida (beat)
13. Miami
14. Michigan
15. Penn State
16. UNC (Mack still got it)
17. FSU
18. Auburn
19. TN
20. South Carolina (soon)
21. Washington
22. Ole Piss
23. Stanford
24. Nebraska (LOL)
25. Arkansas
26. Kentucky (drilled)

Settle it on the field, we'll have beaten 4 teams in the regular season that have better roster talent.

As is being born into wealth that now permits one to have persuasion in decisions over who a college hires/fires to coach a football team
If you had given millions that you don't "have" to give to a school...then I think you would probably rebel too with the all around garbage job Harsin was doing.

Bruce Feldman's candidates to replace Bryan Harsin at Auburn

Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss head coach

Hugh Freeze, Liberty head coach

Deion Sanders, Jackson State head coach

Matt Rhule, former Carolina Panthers head coach

Mark Stoops, Kentucky head coach

Dan Lanning, Oregon head coach

Is Feldman just pulling ish out his ass? Lanning is 7-1 at Oregon in his first year already making 4.6m a year and with the incentives will likely clear 5m this season and it'll just climb from there.

Mullen said on Full Ride that he thinks Georgia will win at home. He also feels Georgia will beat Alabama and if that happens that Tennessee would have the advantage against Georgia in a playoff rematch. I’ll allow it.
I don't get this take. UGA is at home but Sanford isn't some crazy stadium. I don't see it causing any major issues.

Everybody talks about how hard it is to beat Saban twice...but some folks don't seem to take into account how hard it'd be to face Heupel again. When he now has head to head tape on what you did to slow down his offense.

2021 to 2022:
Florida held us to 14, hung 38 on 'em this year
Bama held us to 24, hung 52 on 'em this year

Georgia held us to 17...

More than UL-Monroe, Austin Peay, and Vandy? UT-Martin is better than Austin Peay they lost to us in Knoxville and lost at Boise State (6-2). They only have 1 FCS loss that came in early in the season.
@peaygolf

I do believe MoCo is saying Austin Peay is trash. Care to respond?
