My bad for revisiting a QB argument that is moot. I guess I am still miffed at some second guessing Heupel. Not sure these were lasting opinions. But what do I know? I'm one of the ones who thought Pig scored. I wish Harrison Bailey all the best. I am not sure our University served him as well as it might have.
Given our recent coaching history and Milton’s performances, I don’t blame anyone for second guessing Heupel. Hell, I did too. We just wanted to see what Bailey could do. Remember the O-W game? Best QB on the field…until he wasn’t.

Took me a solid month after the TTU game to convince Bass that Hooker was the man and not Bailey. That’s why we’re not employed as collegiate coaches. 😂

To be fair Hooker didn’t come out of the gate guns blazing lol. Took him a while 🤣

We really overstate how badly Milton actually played bc of the missed deep balls. Other than the run out of bounds at Ole Miss and the deep ball yips, he managed the offense fine. I would rather have Hooker back there, knowing what we know now, but literally everyone thet watched camp said Milton was the clear cut best option, and he didn’t play that badly when the lights came on (again other than his deep ball issues)

Not sure we overstate it. If he can hit any of those extremely wide open guys in the Pitt game we win.

if we make a single stop on one of the myriad third and longs that Pickett picked up or get credit for the first down we did get in the fourth quarter, we probably win too.
