Yes, no one is beating Georgia until we rematch in the CFP championshipListening to and reading these ratings reactions on ESPN and 247/CBS...
I am laughing at any scenario for any team to get into the playoffs that includes "and then they beat Georgia"

stop wasting our time!!
i wouldn't get excited or anxious about the heisman. talk about prisoner of the moment........No...but the public as a whole could. That is exactly what happened with Peyton.
Best case scenario is TCU losing this week, Oregon losing at any point, LSU winning all of their remaining games and losing in ATL, Georgia winning out, Michigan getting dominated by Ohio State. What we need to happen (by team, in order by current rankings), in order for these teams to be guaranteed to be/stay below us.
We need at least 1 of the 2-4 scenarios to happen so we can move into top 4.
To be comfortable, we need all of the 6-9 to occur too, unless more than 1 of the 2-4 do, in which case we'd move up 2 and able to handle being hopped from below by one of the 6-9 teams.
- (2) Ohio State
- Lose to Michigan by 14
- They will drop below us, for the same reason they were below us in Week 1 CFP rankings
- (3) Michigan
- Lose by any amount to Ohio State
- Beat Ohio State and lose conference championship to weak BIG West team.
- Both scenarios will drop them below us
- (4) TCU
- Lose any 1 game
- (6) Oregon
- Lose any 1 game
- (7) LSU
- Lose SECC
- (8) USC
- Lose any 1 game
- (9) Clemson and below:
- No chance.
That is stupid...49-3 is not just one sided...it is complete obliteration. Anybody with a brain can watch our game and see that if we had just hit on 2-3 opportunities that actually happened in the game (they are not figments of anyone's Homer imagination..they actually freaking happened) then our game would have been extremely competitive.
Those two losses are absolutely nothing alike, and to say so is either just pure lying to set up an excuse, or a clear sign of the committees stupidity.
I don't believe for a second that they are stupid people...so..
In the end, they care about ratings. The UT v Georgia rematch will draw more eyeballs. End of story. That is stupid...49-3 is not just one sided...it is complete obliteration. OSU losing at home to Michigan would put them below us, regardless of the score IMO.What we need to happen (by team, in order by current rankings), in order for these teams to be guaranteed to be/stay below us.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. OSU has the Bama effect where the media assumes they are good regardless of whether they win. Even with a loss, they would be viewed as better than TN and I could see them finishing ahead of us.OSU losing at home to Michigan would put them below us, regardless of the score IMO.
Jeez man...this convo is not about the Heisman.i wouldn't get excited or anxious about the heisman. talk about prisoner of the moment........
if you really wanted to give it to the best player in football....the truth is it's probably not any of the guys getting the most run. it's a popularity contest and i think when it's all said and done, they'll do what's easiest and that's give it to the OSU or USC qb, cause, why not?
drake maye at UNC has had a better year than pretty much any of these QB's.
uh, i wouldn't be so sure. OSU has been 1 or 2 in any poll that's existed this year, and i don't think they remove that team from "one of the 4 best" because of 1 loss at the end of the season to the #2 or3 team in the country.OSU losing at home to Michigan would put them below us, regardless of the score IMO.
The same way that our fans are convinced that ESPN and the CFB powers that be are going to screw us over because they did it with Peyton...
TCU fans feel the EXACT same way because of what happened to them in the CFP in 2014...
They were number three, won their game that week by FIFTY TWO POINTS, and the final rankings only days later moved them to NUMBER SIX.

Think about how those fans feel. They know that all of this is for show until the final reveal.
Maybe for that year, but...Oh, sh**.
Their resume looks pretty similar to ours...ready to be let down.
