It's better for us if Auburn is good. I hope they hire a great coach, whoever it is.Bruce Feldman says name he keeps hearing for Auburn is Lane Kiffin. Thinks if Auburn offers him the job it will be extremely tough for him to turn them down. Believes Kiffin is their safest bet to a sure thing coaching wise.
Mizzou sure has been pesky. They haven't lost by more than 7 since their early blowout loss to K St. Florida, Georgia, UK, etc all had trouble and never pulled away. The only thing for certain is that if we are able to score at will against Mizzou this weekend, we need to do so. The portion of the schedule where taking your foot off the gas is acceptable is over. Style points WILL matter for us now.
Mizzou might come out and get in a dog fight with us. Who really knows. But, if Saturday rolls around and our team is clicking on all cylinders you keep your foot on the gas and you don’t “run clock” or let up till the clock strikes 00:00. We have to remind the committee why they were impressed by us. Right now, it sure seems like one road loss to the defending national champions has unfairly changed the narrative around this team.
I wonder how many he would have brought with him? Oh wellWe ain’t gonna pull him and I blame poster JohnfnKelly amd that other clown harassing his mom and telling her we don’t want him… they’ll say they didn’t say that, but that’s pretty much what they told her. Total internet tough guys. No way they would ever speak to her like that to her face
Because they've manhandled nearly all of their competition. Here's another question.
Why is Michigan ahead of TCU????
Penn State is their only good win
Then who? 6-3 Maryland and 5-4 Iowa?
The rest have losing records.
Finding 1 of those 3 to blow it is statistically extremely likely. Because 2 of them can win out and that's just fine...we're still in.Basically what they are saying is LSU has to lose and Tennessee needs TCU and Oregon to lose our they will find a way to screw us. It is what it is.
That’s just stupid. All that matters is who they want. And just like 98 we have to be undefeated with only one other undefeated team to get in. If there would have been another undefeated team besides Tennessee and Fl St, we would have been left out.Says the conference championship would be used as a tiebreaker if it were between an SEC champion LSU getting in or a 1 loss Tennessee. Apparently he thinks the 40-13 head to head drubbing wouldn't be a factor.
We’re worrying only because everyone in sports media is trying every way possible to make sure we are not chosen.Y’all worried about nothing right now. If Michigan loses to OSU they would fall behind us and have ZERO chance for another win. Season over.
That leaves 1 loss needed between TCU and Oregon to be safe.
That’s pretty well it. We’re fine right now with three weeks left to play.
The margin of loss to GA by Oregon and Tennessee don’t matter.Because they've manhandled nearly all of their competition.
Margins matter. 32 ppg margin vs only 9 for TCU. Ofc their schedule is why they aren't #1...but imo there's a case for Michigan above OSU. They handled PSU far easier than OSU did.
My takeaway from all this is the opposite. We need to take care of business but we need a lot of other games to fall our way now. I think there is a movement to keep 2 SEC teams out. We have to hope they have no real/supportable option. Starts with us winning WITH style.Take care of business the next 3 weeks, and it don’t matter.
Why not? We never would have started #1 if we hadn't blown out LSU and UK. That is being lost in the discussion. And we're still the top 1-loss team. We're being given all the cushion we should be allowed...maybe we deserve a tad more and you could argue that, but pollsters and others will always bow to the almighty W-L line. But SoS and margin is why we're still the best 1-losser.The margin of loss to GA by Oregon and Tennessee don’t matter.
4 best teams is all that matters. Their hand would be forced imo.Wanna hear crazy? UT, ‘Bama, LSU win out including SECCG. UGA wins out regular season. Carnage in the other conferences leaves all P5 Championship winners with 2 losses. What’s the top 4? Highly unlikely I know, but it’s still mathematically possible.
