It was the way it was blown. Half the pitches almost hit the batter. A hit batter with a 0-2 count. A wild pitch to advance the runner. Walking home the winning run with a pitch that wasn't even close to the strike zone.

Blowing a save is not that big a deal. The way it was blown with almost every pitch being a horrible one was the problem. If you watched every pitch, you'd agree it was a horrible performance, not just your average blown save. I'd wager Rivera never had a worse 9th inning performance than that one in all his however many hundreds of attempts.

I don't know. I did see every pitch. It was a very bad performance. Hitting Arenado with a 1-2 count is terrible. The tying run scored on a swinging bunt, but I get your point.

That was the equivalent of Milton running out of bounds instead of throwing it with 0:00 on the clock. Throw a softball underhanded if you have to in order to throw a strike, but he tried to throw an off speed pitch instead of making 100% sure he threw a strike.

It happens more than you think. No excuse for it, but it does happen

That’s like 40 years in TV age.

The problem is manufactures make 8 models per year and each year the specs change so by year 4 they can’t make over the air updates as the tech is already out dated.

It’s crazy.

Not crazy. Planned. They expect you to get a new one every 4-5 years.

That’s why I use AppleTV. Relatively inexpensive add on. Can put all the apps and streaming services on it. I carry it on vacation and it easily attaches to any TV.

I never use the TV for the streaming for that reason. My older tv works just fine.

No. A player running out of bounds with no time on the clock might be equivalent to a pitcher balking in the winning run, but not walking in the run.

You’d see more runs walked in if pitchers always faced that situation. A good strike ratio in MLB is 65%. So 35% of the time a pitcher throws a ball. Pitchers miss spots frequently.

Additionally, a starting pitcher has to be “on” 1x/week. A reliever has to be “on” multiple times per week and has to do it in the highest pressure situations. You play golf? Ever been smoking the ball one day and feeling great and then the next time out you feel like a robot that has never swung a golf club before? (That may or may not be based on personal experience). Ever watch golf? See those dudes shoot 65 one day and 74 the next? Sports are hard.

The craziest part of all of this to me is that apparently San Diego State knew of the allegations last season but since no criminal charges had been made, they didn’t do a thing. Then, during pre-draft character analysis by many teams… no other team knew about the allegations.. apparently. Call me skeptical.

The Bills have said they had no idea and they did extensive research on him. They also said they called other teams this week to see if they knew about anything about the allegations in their pre draft review and that all teams they talked to said they had no idea.

Just crazy to me that something this serious gets swept under the rug like nothing happened. Sure, innocent until proven guilty and all that, but these are some seriously disturbing allegations.

100%. SDSU knew about it 3 days after the incident and the police knew about it the very next day, and started investigating right away. There’s no way news of those allegations don’t spread further.
