We will handle the cocks and pull away in the second half like we did with Mizz, but I have a strong feeling the first half will be very close... the home field advantage/crowd will fade off in the second half...

Jalen Hurd in the Princeton Fant role would be the most incredible thing we've ever seen here on offense. Heupel would have that dude scoring non stop if he had him in this offense.

Idk if he would have fit into that role perfectly, but from a route running and 3/4th and short perspective of Fants role, absolutely. Idk if he could have done the amount of blocking that Fant does. He’s pretty important in the run game. I’m sure he could have been coached up in it to be somewhat efficient though.

I can't believe I'm defending anyone in the Big10.....but they do play one quality OC game a year, and they can only play who is in their crappy conference. Not everyone can be in the SEC. Well..not yet anyway

I understand that you can say that for OSU, but Michigan? They played Colorado State, Hawaii, and UConn. I understand bad teams rise and fall and how good they are overtime and that these games are scheduled way in advance. But, That should be taken into consideration when scheduling OOC opponents. At least OSU put ND on their schedule. That’s actually putting forth effort where It doesn’t look like UM did.

This year ......UM's schedule is bad. Real bad.

I feel like Jalin Hyatt and Josh Malone are the two best WRs in those rooms, both of them on the same team would be dynamite.

Tillman, JJ, Bru basically are all the same WR (in size/style) so pick two and roll.

I feel like Kamara is the best RB without question, I think Hurd was grossly overrated as a RB. His production came from the system and having THE best rushing QB in modern UT history and arguably the best to ever play at UT (as a rushing QB). But all that being said his size in the RB room would be useful and he'd be the "big back" that we seem to be missing.

So if I was just building the best roster with the 2016 guys and 2022 guys this is who I'd have.

QB: Hooker
RBs: 1 - Kamara, 2 - Hurd, 3 - Sampson (the potential and speed wins out for me)
WRs: Hyatt, Malone, Tillman, JJ
TEs: Wolf, Croom, Fant (Croom's size and receiving ability put him above every other TE mentioned except Wolf)
OL: 2022, honestly wouldn't trade any of the guys for a 2016 player either

Now here's a question...2016 front 7 vs 2022 front 7?

2016:
DL: Barnett, Tuttle, Vickers, Kahlil, Vereen, Taylor, Phillips, Kongbo, Lewis
LB: JRM, Sapp, Bituli, Jumper, McDowell, DK Jr

2022:
DL: Young, West, Omari, Terry, Simmons, Baron, Bumphus, Eason, Josephs, Pearce Jr.
LB: Mitchell, Beasley, Banks, Page III, Herring, Perry

The Heisman is no longer the Heisman. It’s the “Media Hypesman” Award now.
Which is why we really need the local media and SEC Network folks to start pushing the narrative back to Hooker's side and start pointing out Stroud's game against Northwestern, all the TDs he's thrown at the end of blowouts, the loaded roster around him, and the weaker competition he's played against. Maybe Danny White has some influence and can nudge these guys to change the narrative.

I would love to see what Garner could have done with Shy Tuttle and Khalil McKenzie. Having Barnett would be huge too. Young and Baron have done well but Barnett and Taylor would be a step above IMO. Banks has been good at LB but JRM and Bituli would have been big for this defense. Also, Colton Jumper, I mean, dude was the absolute best in the country at getting guys lined up so he HAS to have a spot on this defense.

The thing that does make this decision harder is the freshman edge rushers on this squad. West and Pearce are going to be good. But if this is a one year switch comparison, I think I’d take the 2016 front 7.

The State media couldn't sway ANYBODY and the SEC would only do that if Alabama had a guy or guys in the running.

Probably one of the worst I’ve seen for a Top 5 team in a long time. That’s why I think it will be easy for us to get into the CFP over them when they lose to OSU. The best shot we have is for OSU to beat UM, USC to lose 1 more game, UGA to beat LSU and for us to win out.

I can't take up for someone quitting in the middle of a game. You sort that out later. Directly led to a turnover in a loss to USCe.

Are you suggesting Hurd is the reason they lost to Sc? lol

Hurd did enough at UT for me to not really care about how it ended. The fact that he stayed after Butch promised a more pro-style scheme for 2016 and fought through the concussions/ bruising/ injuries to play for UT is enough for me to respect him. 2nd all time in rushing attempts in a scheme that didn't fit his style and a terrible OL but kept his head down and worked. Dude took more of a beating in orange than nearly any player to ever come through Knoxville.

The 2016 team had way more problems than just Hurd choosing to opt out. Can't blame him for wanting to get out of a bad situation.

Sankey is probably pissed it’s not another one of his Bama guys.

What I find hilarious is that Blake Corum the Michigan RB that's also getting Heisman push as the media realizes CJ hasn't played well doesn't lead the Big 10 in rushing yards or rushing TDs...yet we're to believe he deserves the Heisman?

Again, Media Hypseman Award. I’d say the FR RB from Ole Miss deserves it more than him.
