I think Pollack does not want to see a GA & TN rematch because deep down he does not think GA can beat TN again. fact check me
I think part of it is that he is coached to be contrarian, but, man, that dude has NEVER had anything good to say about Tennessee. Such a blatant homer. Disgusting.

we have been fairly equal historically with some runs.... but what a place to cut it off, before 2000, when they stormed the field for beating us, we had won 9 in a row

But how does picking a random 9-game winning streak from over 20 years ago, while they actually lead the all-time series, and have been 17-6 against us this century, make them historically "our bitch"? You can't complain about arbitrary cutoffs, while claiming an arbitrary 9-year run last century makes them "our bitch." That would require a showing of, I don't know, leading the all-time series? By a lot?

That's something we could say to Kentucky fans after losing to them in 2020: "yea, we lost, but historically, you're our bitch." Because they are. Georgia is not. There's just no basis for it.

Maybe if the claim was, "they were our bitch in the 90s," it would make sense. But not historically.

We’re in if we win out. They are trying to create drama and keep people guessing. They can’t come out and say we’re about to put two SEC teams in again. That would piss off every other conference. But it’s going to happen. We have the best resume out of anyone to make the playoff once OSU/Michigan lose their game. This is all for suspense. We’re getting in. Just handle our business.

Need some info..................

Saturday will be my first time going to Tuscaloosa. Need to where to eat and hang out before the game.
I might be going with a former Bama player, but if not.......I need some info. Thanks!

Your family will be at great risk of becoming sought after commodities from the changes that you will undergo. They may be subjected to downgrades in living situations such as moving to a single wide (double wides are for rich people), finding their furniture in the front yard, and finding vehicles up on blocks as you sell parts on eBay to fund your new habits…

All of VN will be praying for you during this journey that’s fraught with challenges, difficulties, and outright dangers to you and your family’s future!

I tend to agree with you. BUT…just thinking absolute worst case for us is if TCU stays undefeated (which I think they’ll lose to K. State) and USC runs the table the rest of the way (which I seriously doubt). I think the remaining schedule for USC is pretty stout (when compared to what we’ve ended the season with) and I think the committee would probably leap them over us. Running the table to end the season against 3 top 20 teams would be held higher than us beating a few cupcakes “in style” in their eyes. Also, I think avoiding 2 SEC teams would ultimately be their preference and getting a national name from out West like USC (who would finish with a seemingly decent SOS) would be the perfect storm for them to drop us out. Again, all IMHO.

Aside from the above happening I think we’re in.

Pollack goes home each night and watches Leonard Little with his wife.
He’s just worried. We all felt the same after Georgia made it Kirby’s second year. We didn’t want to be In the latter years of a saban dynasty just to watch Georgia pick it up. Now Georgia is watching us do this with pretty much half the roster talent. When we start rolling with deep talent it’s going to be a spectacle. Georgia doesn’t want us giving Huepel actual hardware to sell recruits. We felt the same about Kirby

Oregon dropped 6 spots, Ole Miss dropped 3.

So if that continues to hold true it should mean Michigan (3rd) losing will drop them to 6th or worse. At this point the CFP has punished pretty evenly for a loss, 3 or more spots dropped depending on who you lose to.

Yes...but it's not his fault, imo that is on Hooker, and it is not really his fault either...it is just a mental thing that is understandable. He was an awesome security blanket last year, but Hendon locks in on him now too much and it does screw up the system we got going on.

I do think it could change with practice and slowly working him back into the rotation.

I just can not believe that he would sit out a chance to at least contribute to a NC run...that boggles my mind..😵‍💫

My personal opinion based on watching Tillman play during the uga game was that he really was not ready to return yet from a physical standpoint. High ankle sprains are a serious injury even with the surgical procedure to support and hasten the recovery process. He looked tentative and favored the injured leg.
I think that game was the first time this season that the players and coaches felt the crushing pressure of the national attention of being number one. Number one and Tennessee football haven’t been in the same category for too many years.
It also gave uga the motivation of being disrespected and gave them the incentive to prove everyone wrong.

Losing that game makes it a harder road to travel, but these coaches and players have been in the current position and excel here. If uga and Tennessee get the opportunity to play again this season, the outcome will be different.

In conclusion (yes, I took a detour), allowing Tillman to completely recover is in the best interest of the team, and Tillman himself. Other schools are not that way and it can also be used as a recruiting tool for players and parents. Tennessee actually cares about the student athletes.

13-1 🤠

Good for you.
Edit..I'm serious...that is awesome, I wish I had not ground myself to dust. My spirit is willing like yours, but my flesh is weak.

My goal is to be able to give you a piggyback ride wherever you want to go. Or maybe pull a travois. Or an off road rickshaw.

My family has always considered me a pack mule. One of my nicknames in college was sled dog.

I will add you to my bucket list. 😊

Take little steps to regain some of your physical abilities. Set small goals and then add more as you succeed. Too many people pick huge initial goals and fail. (I do that all the damn time) If you can afford one of the fitness tracker watches, that can really help.

My biggest issue is gluttony. When I work out, my appetite goes into overdrive and I want to eat everything that I can get my hands on. Portion control is extremely difficult for me too. It’s my biggest struggle. I will lose 10 lbs, relax my tight control and gain 5 lbs. back in just a few days.

I really would like to try to help you.
Sucks that we’re not in the same state…

That’s ridiculous! Make the committee up with ex-coaches who know football, and that have no affiliation to teams in the top 20. You can’t tell me there isn’t bias when people that are directly affiliated with a program are on the committee.
That just means OSU will never get in, no matter their record.

He knows that once an SEC team enters the playoff they have an uptick in recruiting. You get a seat at the table with the elite recruits. If Heupel is able to sign his fair share then Tennessee isn’t going to be a flash in the pan which is what our rivals are hoping for right now.

It’s still surprising to me that when we win our opponents blame their defense or just call our offense a gimmick. Next year without Hooker we will come back down to earth a bit but should still be formidable.

I’d like to ask everyone that would to pray for my stepdad, my dad passed when I was 9 months old so he’s been my dad my entire life. They have found a mass on or around his bladder. We are waiting for an appointment in Vanderbilt so they can get a biopsy done. It’s so hard to have any peace in this life anymore. TIA

Prayer for sure. 🙏

I don’t think so. Have you looked at USC’s defensive rankings. They would get smashed in the playoff. When you compare our one loss to number one Georgia and they lost to Utah who lost to Florida. Plus our offense ranks higher and our defense. Pretty easy pick. To me, it’s all about creating suspense and making others feel like they have a chance. I don’t think anyone really does and their is a reasons we are five. They can just put us right back in when someone inevitably loses.
