What also bugs me...1998 we go undefeated 13-0 and no Vols in the Heisman discussion.

Peerless Price: 920 receiving yards, 10 TDs, 389 KR yards, 1 TD (1309 all purpose yds, 11 TDs)

"That's not great numbers"

Champ Bailey finished 7th in the Heisman voting with 1138 all purpose yards, 5 TDs (but he also played defense!) yeah...only had 3 INTs that year and they finished the season 9-3

We've always been hated by the media etc. for some reason.

Wouldn’t worry about not getting a fair shake.

DW is royalty in this business.

Gentlemen, my lurking on the USCe forum has paid off.

I just bought two tickets from a guy for $75 each, had to pose as a Carolina fan, but would you believe it… these tickets are on the 50 yard line, 10 rows back from the USCe bench. Lmfao I pray it’s an Orange invasion right behind their players.
Finessed lol

I bet Jamal would've been a finalist if he hadn't blown his ACL against Auburn.

Tricky games for the teams ranked above us.

I think I'm ok with Michigan winning this week then losing next week.
TCU just needs to lose. Don't care to who, just lose.

Don't think any of these games really matter to us. Assuming UGA and Ohio State don't completely faceplant (highly unlikely)

A game that has become important to us, and will probably be good.

If USC blows UCLA out, get ready for the talking heads to work overtime.

A game that would have been important to us, but will still be good for the late night

Take it to the pub, are you mad?

Yeah! Post the same post in two different forums! I like that.

Yeah Michigan and TCU have to stay undefeated or neither makes the final 4.
GA and Ohio State as 1 loss teams even are going to be in the discussion (especially if their losses are close ones and to top 10 teams).

So truth be told based on who we have left to play against who the other teams have left to play we're in the driver's seat more than anyone else.

GA gets LSU
Ohio State gets Michigan
TCU has at Baylor and then a rematch with Kansas State (most likely)
USC has UCLA, Notre Dame, and Oregon/Utah
Clemson has UNC

We just focus on beating USC Jr & Candy by 4 or more TDs and let the other teams battle to -try- and build their resume to what ours will be.

I think our odds went up after this weekend and last night

Chances are that this is how it will end up if we do our part. They would have their highest rated TV viewing if this is the way it finishes and I think that does count in the end.....if they admit it or not. Way to much advertising money out there to be had.

I think this is the best recap.

The truth is all undefeateds should be at the top and Tennessee should be the best 1 loss team no matter who gets or has a loss.

That leaves Tennessee in a great spot for No. 4 but the committee would prefer us at No. 3 and so would I. We need help to get there, but that seems likely.

The committee could jump the Vols to #3 over an undefeated TCU based on schedule and quality of wins. But since they dropped UT out of the Top 4 for a loss, it seems they'd rather not. If the Vols put up 50+ in two more runaway games, that's a strong case for #3. Who knows-- #2 may not be completely off the table, if everything comes up orange. That said, there are scenarios where UT could be left out... but that would be a shocking turn.

Great day of games, I may need to fire up a 2nd TV to keep an eye on that USC vs UCLA game while we're playing.

I'd be very happy if Illinois upsets Michigan, Baylor upsets TCU, Miami shocks Clemson and UCLA beats the Trojans by 2 TDs.

that has been my argument as well. We dominate in tv viewership. Just look at how many people have watched the bama and georgia games. we dominated all other sports those nights.

If you wanted to win the Heisman back then…. You had to market your players…. Tennessee didn’t do a good job of that….. compare that to Michigan who ran all kinds of hype campaigns for Desmond Howard… They would also literally get the ball to the 2 yard…. Throw the ball to Desmond to pad those stats….. he didn’t even have 1,000 yds receiving but had 19 TDs.

I wish we would use our social media team to hype up Hendon or Hyatt for the Heisman.

. This looks like something Butch Jones…. I mean Shane Beaner will be selling.

I’ve never seen a guy who the media wants to see succeed more than Shane Beamer.

That “Shane Beamer Coaching DNA” graphic might be the most shameless thing I’ve ever seen on an ESPN broadcast. And there’s a lot of competition for that honor.
