We want to keep Florida down there…. Kentucky might beat us every once in awhile but they are not a threat.
Kentucky finished ahead of us in the SECE last year and got a better bowl game.

If we do actually have a chance at going to Atlanta this year, personally I'd like to not be playing back to back must win games for the division in November.

We were a 7 win football team last season…. If we can’t handle kentucky at home? Do you really think we are going to Atlanta? Florida is a sleeping giant with their recruiting base…. Kentucky rises up every once in awhile when other teams are down.

Literally no one said that. I said 8-4 is acceptable. But 8-4 is not great
Danny White doesn’t strike me as one to accept 8-4 getting bashed in the head by Bama, Florida and Georgia every season. Season ticket sales would decline again. Stopping the momentum donations would start to dry up as well. When we keep seeing those schools going to SEC Championships and we’re stuck at 8-4 things will get interesting again. But I think Coach Heupel will do better than 8 wins average for 10 seasons personally

Our ones are better than their ones.
Our twos are better than their twos.
And so on. When the DC thinks you are rotating 1st 2nd and 3rd string, mix it up and suddenly his 3rd sting db has to try to cover Cedric Tillman. Lord have mercy on their souls.

Doesn’t mean that we are throwing the ball 40 yards every play. I am looking at the WRs take the secondary downfield, our RB has way fewer to stop him. But if the football is closer to the line of scrimmage, then the downfield WRs run off down the field while the next set is already lining up. Just a thought.

Got it. I have always wondered if teams have a series of plays where combination routes are centered on picking one DB and having whoever he lines up on goes long during a series. Even on run plays, but would love to see how they stand up after several plays downfield. Could attain that advantage by using the same guys and using formations to change his assignments or by substitution. Gotta believe this is not an original thought. It at least seems we could gain some advantage by taking on a tired 1 or backup. Only need a step.
