I disagree 100%…. You earn your bye…. It’s by being the conference champion…. If you are 11-1 and from the toughest league in the country…. You should have no issue whipping these lower rated teams from these “weak” conferences.
The way to go is eliminating divisions and have the teams with the two best records in each conference play in the conference championship games.

I honestly see it the exact opposite. I think this is a better match up for us than Kansas St. I'm not sure who will opt out for us but barring a large number of opt outs and injuries I think we will be fine against Clemson. I really don't think they're that good on either side of the ball.

I agree with you. K-state scares me. Veteran QB. Good skill players. Tough on both sides of the ball. They are accustomed to playing faster tempo teams as well. Better than their record.

Clempson is not. Even as good as the young QB is, the lack of experience will cause problems with SEC level speed. I see them as an 8-4, 9-3 SEC level team.

Wildcard - officials as usual. We need to come out and physically dominate. Joe needs to take a chill pill and let everybody else be hype.

The Citrus Bowl almost always ends up being one of the few good games during bowl season. The Outback or whatever it is now is also a good game.

I believe they are saying they will eliminate divisions when Texas and OK join the league and the top two teams will play in the SEC championship.

I live in a ski condo. If I walk around naked outside it will be in a common area. You landed gentry have all the privileges. Or do you live in Russia?

Landed gentry? Try a poor, simple serf. But being naked is my God-given right. If we were meant to wear clothes, we'd be born fully clothed.

Yes, the for every conference make the conf champ game the first round of the playoffs. Then have the 2 highest ranked G5 teams play in that round as well.

Each conference determines it differently though. UT was the second seeded team in the SEC if there aren’t divisions. There is no uniformity, and seeding and home field do matter in the playoffs. You should be rewarded for “winning more games,” especially in a tougher conference. Just because you win 1 game at the end of the year gets you a better seed? Doesn’t even happen in the NCAA basketball tournament. Teams should be rewarded for their body of work.
So you would rather have a committee determine that Alabama had “better losses” so they get a bye week instead of each conference setting the bye games on the field…. I prefer the conference champs getting the bye game.

I don't know about the other guys, but I'm saying that a 💩ty 8-4 team that won a four way tie for first in their conferences 💩 weak division and then lucked out a win in their conf championship game does not belong in the NC field....much less deserve a freaking BYE in that field....period.

Doing away with divisions will vastly lessen the chance of that happening.
