I understand what he was trying to do. Establish a culture where he's probably been told one doesn't exist. But you have to be careful what culture you you replace the old one with.

I have a ton of respect for Heupel and the culture he's built at UT, and you can see the benefits. The whole is performing as greater than the sum of the parts. And he did it by establishing a selfless, team-centric, mutually beneficial culture.

It is the exact opposite of "it's all about me, what I will do, with or without you; I don't care which."

Heupel is all about, "Let's invest in you, to make an us. If you refuse that process, it's on you. But we're here to improve you, and as each of you grow, so does the team."

Much better than, "I have nothing for you if you can't benefit me. Be enough or be gone."

Well, I don't know if you watched all of the various clips. But that was an editing work more than a Deion work.

He opened (8ish minutes) with "who I am" and then he says "now let's talk about you" and most the clips cut off there. So I'm not sure if it was all about Deion, the clip shared that went viral was though.

I'd say I'm excited to see the CFP at 12 teams...but then I realize they're still going to just do wtf they want either way.

TCU losing by 3 and not dropping at least 1 spot = garbage...but I also get it, you don't want to have Michigan vs Ohio State in the semis and Ohio State would essentially get rewarded for not playing in their conference championship game.

But...by the exact same logic you have done nothing BUT reward Alabama for not playing in the SEC conference championship game...

Week 11 Bama drops 3 spots to 9th after losing to LSU
Week 12 Bama climbs up to 8th after Oregon drops 6 spots
Week 13 Bama up another spot to 7th after TN loses to USC and drops 5 spots
Week 14 Bama up another spot to 6th after LSU loses to A&M and drops 9 spots
Week 15 Bama up another spot to 5th after USC loses and drops 6 spots

So you say "TCU lost, but they played in their title game and shouldn't be punished for that" and then immediately remove USC from the CFP discussion as well as the Rose Bowl debate by dropping them 6 spots punishing them badly for losing in their title game.

Funny thing is Penn State dropping 3 spots at home because they felt that Utah and Kansas State even with 3 losses needed to jump them.

But based on the final CFP rankings if it were 12 teams this year we'd be hosting Penn State in the first round

5 vs 12 (Washington at Bama, would actually love to see this matchup)
6 vs 11 (Penn State at Tennessee, I think we would roast them)
7 vs 10 (USC at Clemson, also an interesting matchup)
8 vs 9 (Kansas State at Utah, another interesting matchup)

Normally yeah. But read my post.
There saying he’s gonna be overrun with 4-5 star players. If that’s the case a 4 win improvement would be very much like what A&M did this year.
