Someone tell me about this TE we got, better than Morelock and Fairweather?

He's got great size 6'5" 235lbs played both ways in HS also played basketball and baseball while running track and field too. Went to Cal originally and then transferred to UC Davis, before the start of this season he was getting draft grades. Looks like he wants to spend a season at a bigger program to try and improve his stock.

69 receptions and 928 yards for 9 TDs in his 3 years at UC Davis. Not sure how much eligibility he has left, 2018 he was at Cal, 2019 he was sitting out, and then he played 2020-22. So assuming he only has 1 year left unless 2019 he was out with a medical RS.

Why do you want to go there?? Jimbo has already proved he is a mediocre coach.

He's a one year guy from what I understand.

I think Hyatt's going to the draft, the NIL deal I think was a one-time thing for the bowl game. (because you want Vol fans to stay at a Hyatt hotel in Miami so you work out a NIL deal to help promote your brand with one of their best players)

Plus another year in college isn't going to improve his draft stock, the only way I think he improves it at this point is showing out at the combine. We all know he's fast and has great hands, but running the 40 and doing drills and meeting NFL teams/coaches will be where they believe he's the real deal.

Mel Kiper: "I have him as a 2nd round grade"

*Hyatt runs in the 4.2s or 4.3s*

Mel Kiper: "He's the best WR in this draft, when you look at what he did against Bama...."

My thoughts as well, they don't want Ethan Davis to feel like he's being overlooked but they also need some depth/experience at TE so he's not overloaded with too much too soon.

Yep. He needs time to be 100% physically and time to acclimate to that position in this offense. It will be rare that any HS TE has the ability to be an every down guy in this system. They ask alot of them in terms of knowing the entire scheme. They'll pick up another TE even if Morlock ends up in Tallahassee.

I see it in a similar manner, but my spin is that when Milton and his WR crew light up clemson in the Orange Bowl then there’s going to be a mad rush of recruits and portal players trying to get onboard with the Tennessee express train.
If CJH and company can correct his issues in the passing game, then the sky’s the limit for these coaches and their players. This will be a demonstration of how to get the most out of the players and team. Trouncing Clemson in the Orange Bowl is a pretty big statement to start the 2023 season.

Can’t hardly wait!

2022 11-2 🤠

2023 15-0 🤠 to infinity and beyond!
Do not disagree with you at all cause the way I look at it is if you can't be fixed by CH, you can't be fixed. lol I am glad he did get one start before the season ended even if it was against Candy. I'm pulling for Joe cause like you said it sure would open the eyes of a lot of future QB's. I want to beat Clemson so bad.

That ESPN article about Marvin Harrison Jr. has to be bogus...

He's only got 6 100 yard games in his entire career and it says something about "had eight straight 100 yard games"

I didn’t see that statement but I saw a different inaccurate statement about his TD total being tied for national lead.

It’s in the caption underneath his photo.

If I ran that outfit, I would fire my fact-checker over this (assuming they have one). Most people will just assume this is true - and its not fair to Hyatt or Hutchinson.

ESPN can't even fact check their articles with the stats they also have readily available on the same website? Wow....trash journalism.
They know the facts. They are doing this because they assume (and probably rightfully so) that the majority of the voters will vote, based off of nothing more than reading their articles.

Are they lying? Yes.
Do they know they're lying? Yes.
Do they care? No.
They have an agenda. At the end of the day, the results are all that matter. They don't care about the backlash afterwards, because it won't matter. Their guy has already won it.

Yeah you're not wrong on the agenda. I just don't get straight up lying about easy to confirm/find statistical data. People act like social media has killed journalism, when really it's piss poor writing and elitist behavior.

I'd say the author of said article won't even admit he lied either, probably will double down, ignore the "haters" or just straight up act like "what's done is done"
