ESPN can't even fact check their articles with the stats they also have readily available on the same website? Wow....trash journalism.
Truth is subordinate to narrative in journalism. I don’t know all the reasons, but we need to accept that we’re not a media darling. Whatever good things we have are the things we got for ourselves, and we should just be happy with that.

I think Hyatt's going to the draft, the NIL deal I think was a one-time thing for the bowl game. (because you want Vol fans to stay at a Hyatt hotel in Miami so you work out a NIL deal to help promote your brand with one of their best players)

Plus another year in college isn't going to improve his draft stock, the only way I think he improves it at this point is showing out at the combine. We all know he's fast and has great hands, but running the 40 and doing drills and meeting NFL teams/coaches will be where they believe he's the real deal.

Mel Kiper: "I have him as a 2nd round grade"

*Hyatt runs in the 4.2s or 4.3s*

Mel Kiper: "He's the best WR in this draft, when you look at what he did against Bama...."
Yeh Kiper always nails it smh

I do think he leaves but Kiper is generally pretty garbage.

Hyatt getting drafted high is a feather in the cap of Heup. It only helps us going forward.

Best ones gone

Worst ones stay. Not counting Harrison in that Bc I like him. Nobody needs to see any more of Tank or Burrell though. Tank has been starting for like 8 yrs and he’s pitiful.

He's got great size 6'5" 235lbs played both ways in HS also played basketball and baseball while running track and field too. Went to Cal originally and then transferred to UC Davis, before the start of this season he was getting draft grades. Looks like he wants to spend a season at a bigger program to try and improve his stock.

69 receptions and 928 yards for 9 TDs in his 3 years at UC Davis. Not sure how much eligibility he has left, 2018 he was at Cal, 2019 he was sitting out, and then he played 2020-22. So assuming he only has 1 year left unless 2019 he was out with a medical RS.
You don’t automatically get a medical redshirt…you have to apply for an additional year of eligibility at the end of your normal variety. And if he redshirted in 2018, and it wasn’t due to medical reasons, then it’s extremely unlikely it’s granted. Basically a moot point. He’s transferring here to boost his NFL stock.

I actually think Jaylen with a better S beside him could be solid, with Walker playing they seemed to do better together (granted it was Vandy). People hate on Burrell a lot, but once he was out we really saw how bad the scheme/secondary was. I hope he continues to make strides, I think if we played less zone he would play a lot better. He is by no means a shutdown/lock down corner.

Bold would be great ones to have return, Roman really started showing up in the 2nd half of the season and with Young leaving and better talent on the opposite side (Josephs/Pearce) I think he could have a big year for us. Warren knows the offense and does a ton for us would be huge to have him here another year to help mentor Davis.

Obviously I'd want Hyatt and Wright to return if possible...but both should be taken early in the draft.

Vols vs ESPN... A way of life.

Dude that wrote it is an ACC reporter and doesn’t even have a Twitter account. Post an influencing article that you know has false info and Vol fans will get all bent out of shape about and have the guy that wrote it be one that doesn’t have a Twitter account..

Edit: He does have one, and it’s an account that you’d be hard pressed to believe is an actual grown man’s account, let alone a professional one. I can see why ESPN won’t link his profile to his Twitter account 😂

Tank just needs to move on. Good leadership, but we have young talent that needs to get his playing time. Unless he finally bulks up and converts to LB 😬

Yeah what I figured, but that 2019 season is basically "off the books" on his bio on UC Davis so it was weird. He was there, appeared in the opener and then played no more. Figure he used his first RS either for 2018 or 2019, and then 2020 doesn't count because of covid. So he's been in college 5 years already.

But if he's able to catch 20+ and grab a few TDs for us next season that lone will likely drive his stock from the 5th/6th round to maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder...if he has a really big season maybe even more.

Watched his HS Hudl senior highlights. He was impressive then and would appear comfortable in our offense. Looks like an athletic big man that lined up as a wideout, high pointed balls, has some moves, blocks, bulldozed over people, and they ran receiver slip screens to him🤷🏼‍♂️ Obviously he was a man among boys at his size in HS but an exciting looking player..

If you play a single snap in a season, it counts against your eligibility. Byron Young participated in a PREP SCHOOL game and lost two games last season.

As much as I question this staff for taking a Juco tackle with very few, if any P5 offers. I want to congratulate them on going and getting, what I believe will be two huge additions to this team. Not only did they get a K, they got an experience P5 guy, who bleeds orange. Dont know much about the TE, but, has intagibles, experience, and, speed.

Gotta hit the portal, and, keep it up.

Campbell is 5/7 from 50+. Don’t remember when we’ve had that kind of threat at kicker.
