As a coach for a small sport in a small school. I am worried with how the mentality of my team will change when (if) one of my athletes is lucky enough to get a NIL deal
Based on what though? Milton has 268 attempts in his career so far. Hartman has 1561. It's apples to oranges.
Milton is bigger, faster, with better arm strength and the one area you can easily complain about Milton for, accuracy. Hartman is bad at...and that's at Wake Forest playing weaker competition than the Big 10 or SEC.
We'll be wasting a scholarship/NIL money to have Hartman come here as a backup or even a starter. If Milton isn't the guy then Tayven (who has a full year in the system) or Nico (who is the future) needs to be taking the snaps instead not a 1st year guy that may or may not be able to learn the system and run it.
I don't have an issue with adding a 4th scholarship QB, but if we're going to do that I would think we can get someone that's a better fit for our system. Hell I'd take Devin Leary over Hartman for our system...he's shown better accuracy in his last 3 years and far less picks. Not to mention Hartman isn't even in the portal at this point so no clue why people are talking about him anyway.
