Penalty on the Raiders just now that I hope is a penalty in college (to benefit us). The Raiders defender knocked the ball out of Baker Mayfield’s hand after the whistle while they’re trying to run 2-minute offense.

This should have been a 5-yard penalty. They called it unsportsmanlike and nailed them for 15 and automatic first down.

As for possibilities in the portal, Brian Jean Mary saw Indiana edge defender Dasan McCullough this week. Tennessee would love to add another player on the edge if they could.

Other possibilities along the defensive line are Trace Ford, Andre Carter, Omarr Norman-Lott, and Caleb Banks.

Tennessee is also very active in looking at wide receivers. Oregon transfer Dont’e Thornton has been talking to Tennessee and we expect him to catch a bowl practice in the next week or so.

The same goes for Mississippi State wideout transfer RaRa Thomas. Thomas has had great dialogue with Tennessee this week as he tries to sift through plenty of teams calling him, including Georgia.

Missouri wideout Dominic Lovett is also a possibility to visit at some point.

Shorter tight end Kyle Morelock met with Glen Elarbee on Wednesday and is still a possibility for the Vols after they picked up a commitment from UC Davis transfer tight end McCallan Castles on Wednesday afternoon.

He missed at least 2 or 3 wide open WRs. Had Tillman for a TD at one point as well, you can't hold Hooker to a near perfect game expectation and then dismiss Milton's inaccuracy concerns in meaningful game minutes. Either that's the standard for any/every QB or it's not.

Coming in cold, to a game like that, at that point, was a chore....The fact is Joe was getting better as he went in that game, and he had barely played with the 1s all year.

I honestly don't know what value to apply to the Vandy game...it was horrid conditions.

I have doubts about Joe, but I also have hopes. I want him to do well.
