I like our chances against the Gators. I think we beat the crap out of em. They won't know where it will be coming from. We'll get more stops than they will. We can't turn it over.
My man! We will be there, so we have to beat the crap out of them! I’m tired of walking out of Neyland after a close loss every time we go.

I think this ushers Florida vs Tennessee at 330. Was hoping for a 7pm kick off. Next week determines if GameDay is in town but it'll be like the Tebow days so my ass won't be in that crowd.

Florida had a LOT of luck last night. Every ball bounced their way and if one of those lucky moments doesn't happen, they lose. I think Tennessee can have a defense that causes problems for Richardson. It'll be his first road game this year and it'll be intense.

Utah looked dead in the 2nd quarter from the humidity. I've seen that look from teams that aren't used to it, coming down here for soccer. They were boneheads waaaay too many times. Give your QB a bootleg and tell him it's there as a throw, a run or hitting a fan in row 4. Personally, on that "4th down stand" I think Utah got in twice. Utah has to be better in getting that reviewed. Utah's QB broke the plain before being down.
I’m hoping Arky and A&M are undefeated and end up being the 330 game, so we can be the 7 game. I want a night game in Neyland against Florida in the Smokey grays. Will be lit! Plus I’ll get to play golf that morning if that happens. Lol! I’ll just have to drink a whole pot of coffee mid-afternoon to stay up that late.

Anyone look at the scoring line in the SC vs Georgia St game? I thought they finally pulled away winning by 21, but their last 2 scores were from blocked punts returned for TDs. Otherwise, it’s a 20-14 game…lol! And the great Rattler threw 2 INTs.
South Carolina, Kentucky, and Ole Miss all looked average. Vandy came back to earth.

I’m hoping this is more of a case of Utah being a lot worse than expected and not Florida being really good. Cannot stand it if they brought in a new coach and he turns the program around in Year 1.
Truth is probably somewhere in the middle + having to play in the Swamp.

Fact is they were only 2.5 pt favorites, so UF was supposed to win ~45% of the time anyway. Not like it was some great coaching job or anything to slide by in a 2.5 pt game.

After watching the big games so far I have come to the opinion that we will go as far as our D takes us. I know this has been the general conscientious but it is glaring at this point. We can score in bunches but stopping the other top teams from doing the same will be the make or break of this team.

I know a one game sample is nothing to go off of but we will have to really step up the overall swarming type defense, the kind I saw a lot of yesterday, on a lot of different fields and I am pretty sure most of those defense were running Vanilla D not showing anything so that isn't an excuse. It is early but this week, I'm afraid it will show us the difference between 10-2 and 6-6. We have just got to get it done.

Is anyone disappointed that we only had 86 offensive plays? 😂

1 down 14 to go. But we will take it one game at a time.

I wonder if Pitt hears the toll of the bell? Are they feeling their world crumble around them? The Earth shaking with our approach? Do they feel the dread building of their impending doom at our hands? Or are they just standing on the train tracks in confusion at the Volunteer express speeds towards them? Regardless, we are here to bear witness and revel in their demise. 😎

15-0 🤠

Here's my no one cares breakdown with one game remaining for the SEC week 1. I am very curious to see how LSU looks tonight. I feel like they'll be in the 3rd tier below, but we'll see. The ND offense looked clueless without Kelly last night. I do recognize however that Ohio State and Clemson are the only teams out of our conference with talent to compete with the big boys.

1. Georgia and Alabama are dominant (no surprise here).
2. TXAM has a dominant defense and are as talented as Bama and GA. Don't think they have the QB yet. He needs to stop turning the ball over and gain experience.
3. Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas will be interesting. All of us will need to win games with our offense. All of us have playmaking dual threat QB's. All of us have good RB's. I think Tennessee has better receivers than both ARK and FLA, but they have better TE's.
4. Mississippi State, Auburn, and Kentucky. I hope Kentucky was holding back for their sake or they are in for a disappointing season. They looked blah. MSST will play like us but with less talent. Auburn has a fantastic run game and talent on defense. They have poor QB play and will need to win like Iowa this year.
5. Ole Miss, South Carolina and Missouri all looked poor in my opinion and lack offensive and defensive identity. Lane is a good enough coach to figure it out and jump into the 4th tier above. The other two, nah.
6. Vandy
7. Pac 12 - Embarrasing

Who was swarming that was vanilla? Examples?

I wanted Florida to lose so they wouldn't think they were good.
Unfortunately history shows us they always think they are good against us.
One game at a time. Pitt taught us last year that we have to play 4 quarters. Going to Pitt this week is going to be a challenge. This is an excellent game for a year 2 coach to show us how this thing will likely go. Not completely make or break, but we should have a pretty good idea how this thing will go. I’m not sure we are ready yet, our defense ( especially #4) isnt showing me anything different so far. It’s one game, but I fear teams that are balanced will wear us down just like last year. Young guys look fast but I’m not sure we have the physicality across the board that passes the eye test. Cautiously optimistic heading into pitt. I think it rests on defense getting the job done and if we play with some attitude and confidence I do agree with some posters we could put this thing out of reach.
