Ya I had to eat crow on this recently. I was furious that they kept making the good games at noon and thought it was asinine because prime time is obviously a better slot. But the ratings kind of show that the big noon games were really successful, arguably more so than traditional prime timeI would like to know the numbers, but I’m pretty sure on a normal Saturday, the 3:30 and even noon games get better ratings than the prime time games.
Edit: I decided to look. This link has all of the ratings last year for each week. The Big 10 noon game does really well. Alabama played two 7:00 ESPN games that did really well. But I would say, on average, afternoon games get better ratings.
